Anantara Palazzo Naiadi

"The hotel is beautiful, but the service is quite slow. I like to stay at two different hotels in every city that I visit (usually a four star and a five star). I stayed at a four star hotel down the street for a few days before I stayed at this one, and the service was better at the other hotel. I also stayed at a combination of four and five star hotels during my month-long trip to Italy, and all hotels had better service than this one. I was told that I would receive a call when my room was ready (dropped of bags early- I did NOT expect room to be ready that early but I had to check out of my other hotel), but I never received a call. Turndown service showed up close to 9PM the first night. It takes 30 minutes to get coffee at breakfast. By the time the coffee arrives, you have already finished eating. The biggest issue was the room service that I ordered that never arrived. I ended up just going to sleep after waiting for over an hour. Obviously these are first world problems, but just something to keep in mind. This occurred during December, so I cannot imagine what it would have been like in June-August"
