"We stayed at Coralli Apartments last year (2024) and, while the room was *very* basic and the hidden costs were sneakily expensive, we did overall have a nice enough time. That experience was the only reason we decided to return this year — a decision we massively regret.
From the moment we arrived this time, it was absolutely disgraceful. It took a long time just to get access to our room, so we decided to go to the restaurant for food. The food was supposed to be hot but arrived cold and half-cooked. On top of that, we were charged an arm and a leg for everything imaginable — air conditioning, use of the safe, and various other extras that should honestly be standard.
When we asked for the air conditioning to be set up, we were left waiting for **an entire hour**. After a 4-hour flight and a 1½-hour coach transfer, we were left boiling in the heat, only for someone to eventually come along, press a few buttons, and hand us a remote.
To make matters worse, there were renovations taking place right outside occupied accommodation, starting as early as 7am. This completely destroyed any chance of rest. When guests quite understandably started recording what was going on (to send to their airline), the owner was disgustingly rude and demanded they delete the videos, threatening to remove them from the hotel they had paid to stay in for peace and quiet. Thankfully, we managed to take our own videos discreetly.
The final straw came on our departure day. Our flight home wasn’t until around 9–10pm, with checkout at 10am, so we asked about a late checkout or even safe luggage storage. Their idea of a “secure” place for bags was an open room with no doors, where anyone could simply walk in and help themselves. When we asked the owner’s wife about late checkout, we were told to “ask tomorrow” — every single day — for around four days. On the day we were leaving, we were abruptly told, “It’s not going to be possible.”
Thankfully, the wonderful Palm Bay next door saved us. For just €30, they provided a room and access to their facilities right up until our airport transfer. Without them, we genuinely would have been stuck. If I ever return to Pefkos (which is unlikely after this experience), Palm Bay would be my first and only choice.
On a positive note, the other staff at Coralli deserve recognition. Huge shout-out to Sam, Arsen, and Sefer — you guys were amazing, helpful, and professional throughout, and you deserve to work somewhere you’re truly valued (AND WHERE YOUR TIPS DON'T GO STRAIGHT INTO THE OWNER'S POCKETS!!)
Overall, this was a shocking experience and a huge letdown compared to last year. I would not recommend Coralli Apartments to anyone."
