"We have stayed here 3 times now and each time it has been a wonderfully relaxing stay. The pool area is always spotless , sunbeds plentiful with deep luxurious mattresses. The rooms have everything you need cleaned daily, fresh towels and toiletries provided. Tea and coffee topped up. There is even robe and slippers for when you sit out on the balcony! This isn’t a hotel with a lively bar vibe it is laid back and relaxing, however it is only a short walk to local bars and live music, which means you get the best of both worlds. All the fun but a peaceful night sleep at a time of your choosing. The buffet breakfast covered most tastes continental, fruit, cereal and full English. Breakfast always hot and well cooked. We didn’t eat at hotel in evening but menu looked good and other guests said food was great. The only negative I would add is that the wifi is a little intermittent so if you need to work whilst you are away then you may need to consider getting a data plan. Otherwise get off your phone and enjoy the beautiful sea view from your sun bed."

"We were sold this hotel as a 5 star and having been fortunate enough to stay in many 5 star hotels all over the world we were really looking forward to visiting Kefalonia as well as staying here, what a let down we had booked/been sold a poor 3 star hotel . As soon as we got to the room we knew we had made a mistake, lights hanging off the wall Lights not working, sockets coming off the wall very poor and dated decoration, and later we experienced the cold shower problem ( 6 times they ran out of hot water in the 14 days we were there). We then met the towel police at the pool, only 1 towel per person per day and if you took more they would chase after you to get them back, but as my wife suggested they smelt really bad which made her think they had only been tumbled dried not washed over night. Then the ice cold pool with all the broken drain covers all around the pool !, lifting and cracked concrete and tiles. But worst of all was the breakfast , this had to be not only to poorest selection I have ever come across but also the worst food quality I have ever experienced, it was disgraceful to the point that after a couple of days trying to find some good points we gave up and went to other restaurants and payed for our breakfast. TUI the travel agency we booked through made a note of all my complaints but as I said to them they were never going to do anything, as long as they were selling holidays there and making money it seemed more important to them then customers satisfaction. If you are going to the Skala area there are a lot better and cheaper hotels to stay in, avoid this one like the plague."
