Arminda Hotel & Spa

"We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While there were definitely some positives, a number of issues made the stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. The Good: The cleaning staff were absolutely incredible — so friendly, warm, and hardworking. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and they truly made a positive difference to our stay. Most of the reception team were also helpful and polite. The food was generally good, with a decent selection at mealtimes. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the room was very small, especially considering we paid extra for a "pool view." Being in the annex building, this turned out to be a partial, corner view — definitely not what we expected. The bathroom was also very cramped, only suitable for one person at a time. The shower-over-bath setup was awkward, and the position of the shower head meant water soaked the bathroom floor each time we used it. Health and safety was another concern: The glass surrounding our balcony was loose, which didn’t feel safe at all. There were also visible electrical wires in the room, which is something that should really be addressed by maintenance. As someone with dietary needs, I found the gluten-free options very limited. There was no gluten-free beer or cider available, and the gluten-free bread was poor in quality. More inclusive food and drink choices would be appreciated. Lastly, while most of the reception team were friendly, one receptionist was quite rude at times, which left a negative impression. Overall: The hotel has potential and some great staff, especially the housekeeping team. But the issues with room size, misleading views, safety concerns, and lack of dietary accommodations unfortunately let it down. With a few improvements, it could be a much better experience."

"The massage was made by Rafaela, i rate it 10/10. Before massage we had 30minutes spa zone, jacuzzy was cold, almost like swimming pools in hotel, sauna was not warm enough. But in the end massage was perfect!"

"Our stay at the Arminda Hotel was made special by the lovely staff who could not do enough for us. there are plenty of facilities to enjoy yourselves from adults to children. we had requested several things prior to arrival and the staff where able to help us with everything. we would definitely return. The food was exceptional as there was such a choice. Everything was so nice and clean, the staff where always busy cleaning."
