"We had such a nice time staying in this hotel. The hotel is really nice with a great patio on top. The included breakfast was great. We had some of the best meals of our trip at their Geco restaurant. The thing that makes this hotel memorable and awesome are the staff. They really make you feel special from the drink they provide at check-in to the assistance they provide in bookings and getting around. They care about your experience and go out of their way to make it memorable. We plan on revisiting Athens in the future and a large part of that is due to the hotel."

"It's a hotel still in its infancy. Just over 3 years old and in need of some fine tuning to make it "POP." Loved the decor, the stand out staff members, Helen, George the bell boy and Panos the barman, night time entertainment and the 24hr gym. Not one of those "all equipment gyms," just space, mats and free weights is all you need. Each night is a different event and alternate nights a DJ (yes I "GOT DOWN"). We also enjoyed a couple of late nights down at the bar listening (and singing along) with female singers, one of which was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast is served up until 1200 hrs mid day. MID-DAY!! That gives you plenty of time for a "Lie-In" and even though they have a menu, they allow "off menu orders" Loved the location right in the thick of it. We probably stayed a touch too long (8 days) based on where it is and what there is to do. You could eat, drink and see all around within 5 days max. The Rooms: This is where the hotel has a teething problem. The first room was very small and not really for a couple staying as long as we did (in my opinion) due to its configuration. It was so small the bed, the bedside table and the cupboard to the safe door were in competition for space (more about this below). The Safe door could not be fully opened without force. The shower of this room was very big and inviting. The let down of the room is that the flushing of the toilet and running of sink/basin water brought about the smell of sulphur. To be fair to the hotel, it has recently gone under some major structural change and this is one of the more serious things yet to be finished/fixed. Because of this our room was changed. The second room was lovely. Compact yes, but at least you could open everything and again, a very big and powerful shower. Lovely. The Minor Teething Problems (that irritated me): 1. Safe: Left hand wall unit door and a right hand safe door. This is why the first room safe was so difficult to get into. 2. No shelf space in the shower room area for personal products. They had to remain in the suitcase or on the table of the bedroom. 3. My wife said not to forget to mention no "Make-up" mirror with a back light & magnifier - A Must For Makeup! 4. Lights to the room are on a lit panel that does not turn off completely (the panel that is). If you are light sensitive, then the glow of the panel will probably irritate you throughout the night as you try to sleep - we covered it with a brown, folded to shape, bag. 5. There was no independent bedside light. All the lights were linked and 6. A lovely steamer is provided in the room, but there is nowhere to hang clothing item away from anything. A stand out hook to the back of the room door or something similar attached to the unit would have been fantastic. Would I stay there again? Yes I would"

"I really loved the Gatsby. Our “cool corner suite” was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. Both the food and the service in the restaurant were excellent. I emailed the hotel weeks before our arrival and requested an early check in and a quiet suite. The front desk responded promptly and said that they could not make any promises, but they would do their best. When we arrived at eight a.m., our suite on the fourth floor was ready for us. After our nine hour flight, it was wonderful to rest in the comfort of our own room. Congratulations and thanks to the Gatsby staff for doing such a great job! My husband and I truly appreciated your hard work."
