"While the staff are very friendly and helpful we would honestly only rate this a 2 star property. Certainly a historic building but that’s where the charm ends. Very difficult to access by auto at any time of day due to moveable pedestrian only access pillars. Nearby parking garage is a bit of a logistical challenge to use due to heavy traffic. Way below standard for European breakfast quality. Bathroom tub/shower unit is extremely elevated making it a possible hazard for elderly or limited mobility guests. I’m sorry but open beam ceilings and dormer windows upstairs can’t make up for limited amenities in an aging property."

"The property is located in the pedestrianised city centre which was a little daunting at first but, having learned to speak appropriately to the bollards which then go to ground to allow ingress, everything was just super. Secure parking was next door to the hotel (limited so be sure to pre-book) and then the city centre was so very walkable or take a bus or a boat. Obviously, sunny weather helps wherever you go but we would go back for a longer city break at any time of the year instead of just having Strasbourg as a two night stop on a 37 night grand tour. So much to see and do and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. Sometimes one just needs to be reminded that the hospitality business is all about people - and these people understand that."

"This was a wonderful place to stay. We booked a bigger room which had windows on 2 sides. The most comfortable bed with nice sheets and pillows. Nice clean wooden floor . The bathroom was very small but it’s an old building so we understand. Stayed for 3 nights but wish we had booked a longer stay. We didn’t ask to have our room cleaned. The bath towels were huge and fluffy and fine for 3 days. No fridge in room but the lovely reception lady gave me a bowl of ice. The air con worked very well so we loved coming back to our room after walking around a sunny Strasbourg. Thank you to all the lovely reception people. I think we have to return!"
