"Review from our visit in November 2025…
Upon our arrival we found that our rooms were not ready and they had also got out rooms wrong. What was supposed to be three twin beds were only two and what should have been a king room was two singles.
However, they quickly sorted this and ensured that our rooms were moved accordingly and so that all three of our rooms were close together the next day.
Food:
The food was standard, if I’m honest it could have been worse however it was a lot of the same items for all meal times. A common eating area for us as a family was the beach bar for lunch as there was fresh pizza, pasta and fries there and there was also an ice cream bar however it was only one flavour a day, sometimes two. Panorama was a preferred option but repetitive, but this was closed on the last three days due to electricity issues.
Foam Party:
Every Tuesday there is a foam party on the beach near the pool bar. That is something as a family we really enjoyed participating in.
Kids club:
The kids club were initially inviting and was a great hit for the young children at the beginning of the holiday but lacked activities and space as the use of this went on throughout the holiday. Staff were nice but this could be improved.
Excursions:
We had a few issues with our excursions and these were booked through international sun who sit in the lobby.
1. Safari buggy - upon arriving at the centre, you have to purchase your own head scarfs and that was no issue at all. However we had an issue with our buggy, this kept cutting out throughout the trip and this resulted in us falling behind many times and the crew having to stop to assist us. We complained about this and they gave us £15 off the trip when original price was £70.
2. Dolphin show - we had asked to participate in travelling to watch the dolphin show. We paid for this and had asked when booking if there was a possibility of swimming with the dolphins which was also offered when speaking to a man called Mufasa and booking the excursions. However upon arriving at ‘Dolphina’ we watched the show and as soon as the show had finished, our tour guide stood up and walked away from us, once we had caught up with him, we asked about the swimming with dolphins and he said ‘the bus is outside, the people on this trip need to get back’ we stated that we weren’t happy with this as the transport wasn’t due to leave until half 4 and it was only 3:50. There was no further discussion on this.
3. This is the only excursion that we did not have any issues with, Sharm by Night… this was an amazing experience. £25 for an adult and £15 for children, 5 stops and finished with dinner in Soho House. This was honestly so lovely and ended up being a very knowledgable trip and lasted for 8 hours. The tour guide was so lovely too, he was a young man and his name was Ahmed.
Alcohol
I’ll be honest this was not great, the spirits from the bars weren’t very flavourful and this resulted in us purchasing on the high street. The beer is quite nice on the resort. I found that the pool bar alcohol was better than behind the normal bars.
Beds
These were rock hard in all 3 rooms that our family were spread across. This did not get any better throughout the holiday
We were looking forward to all of the towel art made by the housekeepers however only 2 out of the 3 rooms received this.
Mosquitos
Bring Mosquito repellent - the hotel were good at fumigating but they are everywhere and attack you a lot.
Pools
The main pools were cold, but we knew before we came that these weren’t heated. It was quite refreshing really and we soon adjusted to the temperature after being in the water for a while.
Aqua park
This was really good for the children in our family and they really enjoyed going on this on a daily basis. The wave pool was not heated but was great fun. The children’s pool, we were informed it was heated however the water was very murky and didn’t look clean so we did not use this. The pool that most of the slides went into is heated and was a lovely temperature. The floor is very slippy when it is wet so ensure to take extra care.
Russians
First of all, there is a separate part of the resort for the Russians including a sleeping complex and a separate restaurant. This means that no can enter unless they have a fun and sun wristband on. They also have a larger selection of food and drinks. This was very disappointing for us.
Second of all, right from the beginning you are informed that you cannot reserve sun loungers so surely this means you cannot reserve sofas in the beach bar area for the evening entertainment right?
Bearing in mind we had 10 people on our holiday and we had gone to the evening entertainment area early, around 6pm. There was a jumper on a sofa and we assumed that this had been left accidentally. A couple of hours went by and we were approached by a Russian Couple who didn’t speak English. They were shouting loudly and appeared aggressive. They were shouting that we had moved the jumper that they had used to ‘reserve’ the seat. We know this as this was later translated by the resort staff. The Russian lady had been holding onto the pushchair that my twin brothers were in and had pushed them away from the table in which she proceeded to throw herself on the sofa and refused to move whilst swearing and threatening my step mum. The environment was loud due to the evening entertainment starting so my dad had to speak loudly to the resort staff, to which the manager then said ‘was it is with you English always shouting’. My dad then explained that he was not shouting and that he could not hear himself. The Russian man had threatened to kill my dad and pushed him and the resort staff had heard and witnessed this and instead of dealing with this accordingly they took them to another table and waited on them hand and foot with drinks ect. This was later investigated by the manager of the resort. This was not dealt with correctly by the security and staff who were witnesses to the incident.
This had all happened in front of four young children, this was very emotionally distressing and ruined our evening.
On a happier note,
Soho Square is definitely a must, there is a lot of pretty sites. We went when all the Christmas lights were up so I am unsure how it presents the rest of the year however it was a pleasant atmosphere.
And finally,
Arabucks is a must also, it’s a restaurant only a few minutes from the resort, the food is amazing and reasonably priced.
As a family we have decided we would not return."
