"Firstly if you have any mobility issues this hotel isn't for you, steps everywhere, no ramps.
Location,
Set back off the main road, bit of a slope to walk up and down, if you want to walk to the shops at night you have to walk a very dark strip of road, taxis available everywhere, make sure you fix a price. The hotel has the main road between it and the beach, but has a shuttle bus to a beach that has a small jetty. You have to pay for food and drinks there.
Rooms
Oh my days our first room was a disaster and took us 4 days to change it.
Shower was a hole set back in the wall, no curtain or screen, so everytime the shower was used the whole bathroom flooded, room was tiny but that's no big deal except there was nowhere to put clothes, bit of a pain, electric sockets, certainly not enough, one each side of the bed which had a lamp plugged in, and one in the corner with a lamp. This wouldn't be a problem but if you unplugged the lamps you had no light, no ceiling lights, ended up plugging the kettle in the bathroom ! Bathroom had a pretty decent hairdryer, TV and coffee, and mini fridge, if stocked with drinks etc, these are chargeable ( they don't tell you that) bed was comfy.
Staff
The Staff at this hotel make it, totally amazing, can't do enough for you. Suitcase man, runs up and down steps all day with suitcases. Rohan in the bar, superstar (definitely needs a payrise) made the most amazing mojitos, again couldn't do enough for you. Mohamed at the pool bar, brilliant man, The Hello man, always sweeping and smiling, reception great, and Chloe and entertainment staff always friendly, they all work incredibly hard. Tip them they need it!
Pool
Where do I start, you run the gauntlet every morning if you want a sunny spot and a comfy sunbed, pool staff constantly changing your towel ( you have a towel card to get your towels) people saving beds about 5.30 am every day, some not using them all day, so annoying. Pool not the cleanest and definatly could do with a refurb massive childrens pool which was freezing, the main bit was a bit smaller, but heated only about 4ft deep, goes up to the pool bar. Toilets available by pool, edge of pool is super slippy, and more steps, no easy access if you can't use pool ladders. Floor around pool wasn't cleaned properly the whole 2 weeks we were there, it was wiped over with the most disgusting dirty mop and a bit of pool water, sun beds NEVER wiped, advise you take your own wipes.
There is no Easy Jet rep at hotel, and trying to contact one was really difficult, intfact we didn't see one until we left.
Cleaning at this hotel wasn't the best, don't look under the bed, always moping and wiping but the cloths were dirty and dry.
Dining
Dining room manager is lovely and smelt amazing, you could always find something to eat, all be it a bit strange, I.e aubergines and mash potato at breakfast, but brilliant omelette man, and massive selection of pastries and of course cold meats etc.
Food always very similar and luke warm.
Between 3.30 and 4.30, snacks in Dining room, burgers one day hotdogs the next, with a fajita style meat. No veggie option unless you want to live on chips. You can have a special meal which you ask for once a week, we had steak egg and chips with peppercorn sauce, it was amazing. The desserts look incredible, like works of art, beautifully presented.
Entertainment
Bit strange all performers and kids show is in the amphitheatre, which has no bar just plastic chairs in a circle, you could also go to the lobby bar, which isn't very big, has 2 outside sections for smokers, and the chairs really need replacing, so grubby. During the day, aqua aerobics, darts yoga, water polo.
TAKE DEET INSECT REPELLENT everyone got eaten alive, even with it.
Could be noisy at night but that may have been because of Xmas and new year.
Little shop, beauty salon, massage man.
Book your trip via your tour opperator don't use the man walking around the pool, unfortunately we did, and health and safety does not exist, was a shambles.
Gardeners are incredible, gardens are beautiful.
Overall, weather was amazing, staff absolutely incredible, hotel really needs updating, plumbing needs sorting! And work out the currency, they take dollars, sterling, and egyptian pounds. Take your choice. Happy holidays!"
