"The grounds are stunning and beautifully kept. There are several gorgeous swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds. Although really cold, the salt water pool was my favourite and it is lovely to float in.
The staff were super friendly and attentive.
The Beachbay restaurant was by far nicer than the one at the top which felt like a school canteen. There was proper service and they were friendly. There was plenty of choice of food but for us we didn’t think it was amazing added to which we both got stomach problems from the food mid week. Also there is no choice of wine apart from the colour - drinkable - just! You can book to eat at other restaurants as part of the all inclusive but there is one machine for the whole hotel to book these as the app doesn't work. You have to wait whilst guests ahead of you have to make their choice of each course - I gave up on several occasions as did many other guests. We did have a meal in Serenity Heights - not worth eating there - it's like an airport lobby. We had a great meal in the Brazilian restaurant where you pay extra. I'm not a huge meat eater but my husband loved it.
The room - we downgraded to a smaller room having been initially given a huge executive room which had no charm nor really view (sea in the very distance) and was above the main lobby with its very strong smell of incense and you had to walk through what felt a bit “Butlins” with flashing pink lighting on the walls to get to the pools and nice restaurant. The first 12 hours I felt so disappointed and wondered what on earth I’d done bringing us here.
We were given a nice en-suite in Block C - beds very hard and bobbly sheets- albeit housekeeping did a wonderful job each day and made our bed so prettily with flowers. Bathroom is dated with the grouting between the tiles looking like it needed a refresh. Well stocked fridge with water and soft drink. Safe and ironing board in the room too. Husband got his shirts ironed by housekeeping and they came back same day beautifully pressed.
We loved lying by the pool and were kept well hydrated with beer, water and virgin mojitos. It was very relaxing. We didn’t lie on the beach as it sloped down and also the sun was only on the beach in the morning.
The endless touting for business is probably the same as anywhere and if you ask for a massage you end up agreeing to about 6 other treatments! That said the facials were amazing.
I also got a new pair of glasses from the on site opticians for £100. I wouldn’t bother with the oils - smell amazing but on getting home I think they are watered down.
The highlight for us was our trip with “Dining in the Desert” which we organised directly with 2025 Dining in The Desert (Hurghada) - with Trusted Reviews. It was incredible. We saw the sunset and then had the best meal of the week laid out for us on a carpet under the stars.
We also did the boat trip to see the coral and fish which we enjoyed.
In truth the hotel didn’t feel like 5* and didn’t feel like a treat to be there - it was sunshine, relaxing and time together for the two of us and so from that point of view we loved it but we wouldn’t return and I think have ruled out all inclusives for our next holiday.
The staff are amazing though and they did make us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel like their favourite guests and I’m sure everyone felt like that as they were fabulous. Special shout out to Ahmet Mostafa, Ahmet Aziz and Khaled."
