"As always we booked with TUI, who are the biggest holiday provider in Europe & possibly the world. The flight from Gatwick was on time taking off & arriving at Hurghurda airport. At the airport bank kiosk,s you pay your $25 dollar visa, there on the right before the TUI visa desk. It cost £38 for $50 in London, If you don’t pay at the bank kiosk the TUI travco will charge you £24 pp, if you haven’t got dollars. The coaches are straight out of the airport. If you travel with TUI they will tell you the coach number on the app & 2 days before yo leave it will give you your pick up time. It’s 15 minutes from the airport & we were the third drop off in Sarfaga. Check in was swift & we were soon in are room. The room was in great shape with no problems at all, we were in 5216 which was near the main poll, their three restaurants & the large coffee lounge. Aqua blue is in the middle looking out of the reception. To the left is the aqua park, to the right is the aqua vista. All three are in a line & it’s only a few minutes to walk to either aqua or vista from aqua blue. The aqua blue nighttime entertainment is at the stage at the aqua park & vistas is mainly a disco , it’s in front of the swimming pool & the vista restaurant. Some people say the food is not hot, the main culprit was chips & some rice. All the restaurants have three sections & we dined in the middle section of the vista restaurant where the food was always hot. The restaurant manager was always checking to make sure the service was good & was helpful if you wanted any info on anything. Plus are main waiter was ibrahim, he got are drinks at breakfast, lunch & dinner, he was on hand for anything you might need. The hotel staff work seven long days & nights a week, yet they’ve always got a smile & are happy to help no matter what you may need. On the outside left of the middle section a chef was cooking pizza to order, the cheese wasn’t strong enough for are liking. But others loved it, so it’s swings & roundabouts. The middle section done lots of roast meat & veg, with a nice beef gravy. if your food is not hot don’t eat it, try something else, there are only 5% of brits at all three hotels, lots are east European. Mainland Europe, Arabs etc. like I said if you like roast meat, veg & gravy then the vista will be up your street. There are limited deserts at lunch & dinner. But straight across the road is a huge coffee bar doing lots of bakery items & deserts, plus they also serve wine & beer. You order the drinks & they will bring them to your table. You can also take bakery items out if you want to. Back to the room, we had two young male cleaners who cleaned the room everyday & changed are sheets every day, which I’ve never had before. The tv in the room is cable so lots of English talking films & lots of football. Which they also show in the coffee shop & the bars. My wife watched a film every day, late afternoon, plus the football is live one day & they’re all repeated the next day. The weather for the first week was. 28 to 32c no rain & the second week26 to 29 no rain. We went down to the beach, the bus runs every 30 minutes. The problem is it’s the same hotel chain, but called the PA beach. Three quarters of the beach is for them & one quarter is for these three hotels & it’s hard to get a sun bed unless you went there very early. We stuck to the aqua park pools where are life guard was called Mohamed Sayed & apart from perfect English, he will get you a sun bed & is on hand for any help or advice you may need. He’s a credit to the hotel, as was Mustafa in the aqua blue park. Are best waiter in the aqua park was Kaled, once he knew what you drink, you never had to ask again, he to was a credit to the hotel. But all, the staff were very happy to serve you in any way. The snack bar is at the aqua park serving burgers, pizza etc & the kids loved it as they weren’t out of the pool for long. Sarfaga is a 20 minute drive from hurghurda & they’ve had heavy rain once. I asked a eygyptian many years ago when is it not hot, he said never, it’s chilly at night. Some wear jackets some stick to shorts. Most people stick to shorts etc 24/7, we dress up at night, as do a lot of women. But the choice is yours. They who pay have the last stay. We used to go to the Caribbean 2/3 times a year, the shortest is a 9 hour flight, where as Eygypt is around 5 hours with the same climate, but chillier at night late winter. My one advice would be only stay at four stars & above, plus research the feedback on Tripadvisor, but never judge a book by its cover. If you want to stay at these three hotels, then pick the cheapest as they’re all the same. We had a superior room, but you got the same benefits & service no matter what room you get. Plus you don’t always get what you pay for & we judge hotels on the full package of facilities, ie food, rooms, pools, bars & service. The beach towel hut is near the swimming pool at aqua blue & the towels are soft & clean every day. As are the towels in the room, they’re nice touches that make the hotel stand out from other hotels. This hotel provides high scores on all these items & that makes it a very good hotel & chain to stay at. I’ll be back. #TUITraveler"
