"Overall, we had a great time, and the good things were much better than the bad things. We visited Calimera Blend Paradise Resort at the end of September. The weather was excellent and the sea was still warm. The air temperature was around 30°C and the sea was about 27°C. The hotel probably wasn't full, so we had no problem finding sunbeds. We never felt that the resort was overcrowded. Overall, I can definitely recommend visiting at this time of year. Our first impressions weren't great. You can see the hotel is a bit old and its best times are in the past. The cleanliness and maintenance of the main hall were average, maybe a 6 out of 10. This was the same for the cleanliness of the dishes in the main dining hall. Also, the central pool area was under construction during our stay. So, the first impression wasn't the best. We have stayed in nicer places on past vacations. But as we spent more time there, our opinion improved. The dining hall was quite small, and the choice of food was about half of what we are used to from other resorts. However, the food was generally good and tasty, and we always found enough to eat. For food, I give it a 7/10. The drinks in the bars weren't very good for the most part; I give them a 5/10. The beach is about a 7-minute walk away (but there is a shuttle bus if you don't want to walk). The beach is clean, big enough, has a slow, gradual entry (good for children), and has plenty of sunbeds. There is also a beach bar that serves drinks and food. The best part is the small coral reef where you can snorkel and see amazing fish. The beach is a 10/10. The accommodation in the family suites was amazing. They were three-room apartments, perfect for two families (or one bigger family 2+2 and more). (We were four families in total and shared a terrace). It was the best accommodation we have ever had. 10/10. Very nice, very clean and spacious. The entertainment for children wasn't great. We have seen much better at other hotels. 4/10. On the other hand, the people there were great. The staff was very nice and helpful. Even the beach sellers were very nice and not too pushy. (We also took a boat trip to see dolphins, Orange Bay, and sea life, which I highly recommend.) For the staff, I give a 10/10. This resort has an exceptional aquapark. It's not just for children but for adults too. It was a lot of fun. 10/10. That is the main advantage."
