"We stayed during October half-term, and overall we had a good time. I've just read some of the reviews recently put up by people who stayed at the same time as us, which I always do before I leave my own review, and it always surprises me how some people have had a bad experience compared to ourselves, and to others who's reviews have been positive. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very nice with AC in both the living area (which had two sofa beds) and the bedroom; controlled separately, we had different temps in both rooms. No issues with the room, although the only thing I would say is it was too close to the loud evening entertainment, which made it difficult to go to sleep. We were in block 18, so I'd recommend not being in this if you wish to sleep before 11pm. Block 12 was even closer, so you could maybe ask the hotel in advance to not be either of these blocks. The restaurant did have limited options, with maybe a fish, and two other meat dishes to chose from, then carbs (rice/potato) and salad too. Deserts, I always find, are a massive disappointment when abroad, and this was the case... except for the pudding on the Sunday evening which was like school golden syrup sponge cake. I've been on many AI holidays, and whilst the options may have been limited, I found the food nice, and the limited options, for me, made it better as I didn't overload my plate with 12 different types of dishes. I totally agree with other reviews that it's strange the restaurant outdoor seating is the same seating for the evening, with nowhere else to go. This meant we had to be down at 6pm to get a table before the restaurant opened at 6.45pm, otherwise you would end up queueing. I saw other reviews complaining about there being no tables, and families running to the food when it opened. I never once saw anyone running for food, and we were there early every evening we ate at the hotel. In regards there being no tables, whilst I get that, you also need to adapt a bit. That's what we did after out first night - we made sure we got down their earlier. Location was fine. Yes, there's a steep hill to walk up, but this is clearly pointed out when booking, so done complain about it. The Coral Bay strip is ten minutes walk and there's some nice restaurants there. The first Italian you come to was lovely, and Les Amis too. We always make a point of eating out a couple of time, even though we've paid for AI. And you also visit the supermarket to get your cheap water and snacks and gifts when you're up there. Avoid the on-site shop at the hotel. The "beach" at the hotel isn't really a beach - it's like wasteland. Barely any sand, lots of rocks and bushes. Getting into the sea is very rocky too, but as someone said in their review, if you've got sea shoes on then its not a problem. We didnt have these. However, Jet2 advertised he hotel as being by the beach, but I'd say this is inaccurate. Not one single person was on the beach relaxing on a towel or rug. The water park was where we positioned ourselves everyday. There are toilets in the park, so not sure why some other reviews suggested toilets were needed to be built. The lazy river was really enjoyable, and the slides were good too; however, the splash park area needs a lot of TLC. A number of items weren't working, such as dolphins and soakers that are supposed to spray water; once of the steps were cornered off as they were loose; there was a very rusty piece of metal sticking out of the main apparatus. It needs a serious looking into, although maybe they're waiting for quiet season before doing that? Entertainment was really bad and we never stayed for more than five minutes. And asl already mentioned, it was sooooo loud that returning to our room didnt really take us away from it as it was still present through the shut windows/patio door. Someone said the cocktails were awful... I cannot understand this. I've been to many AI where the cocktails are pre-mixed. These cocktails were all made fresh in front of you. I'm not really sure how this can be awful. The local larger on tap was also nice. Each to their own though. Lounge wars... never happened. Read a review that said people were out at 5am putting down towels. We overlooked the whole pool area. Some people did put towels down by 7am, but you could go down at 9am and still find some free. Yes, it may not be where you want to be sitting, but if you do leave it until 9am then that's what happens. The water park opened at 9am, so you there was a queue from 8.45am to be able to get the loungers overlooking the sea, but if you're positioning yourself in there all day, then you don't need to be putting towels down by the pool. This is by far the best holiday for lack of lounger wars that I've been on. All-in-all, we enjoyed our holiday. I would recommend going there if you're happy about not engaging with evening entertainment, and if you're happy to eat based on limited options (which are still nice)."

"Arrived back from a weeks stay mid October - weather was lovely , we was a family of four in a one bedroom apartment which was really spacious cleaned everyday no complaints at all. Location - down the bottom Of a very steep hill and about 10 min walk to coral bay strip . On the beach but the beach was very rocky and no sand . Sunbeds - you could always get one. Food - snack bar a great hit especially with kids selling nuggets chips burgers pizza etc. Buffett lunch and evening meal hit and miss , not the best . Breakfast not the best either but you could always find somthing . I found it bizzare how the outside eating area was where they did the evening entertainment, you don’t want be sat around people stil eating their meals . Cleaness - hotel grounds and rooms lovely , pool areas was dirty , some ignorant people that when eating at the snack bar would leave all their rubbish around the pool or left on the tables , all empty plastic cups left around the pool and would often stil be there the next day , never once saw anybody cleaning around the pool. Pools - one indoor pool which was freezing , one large outdoor pool , one mini pool where kids loved to play volley ball , pools was quite cool but maybe it was the time of year , water park was a great hit with the slides and the lazy river was fantastic. Shop on site very expensive absolutely rip off . Kids club , park , entertainment through the day which was basic , night time entertainment hit and miss . Drinks - all inclusive cocktails awful Beer drinkable Slush’s €4 which in my opinion shouldn’t need pay if all inclusive. Ice cream only was given at certain Times of the day . Overall we had a decent stay just some things let the hotel down ."

"If I could I would probably give it 3 5. We came as a group of 9 and that on itself had problems as there seemed to be a number of large groups and the hotel struggled to accommodate them. Location - it is down a steep hill but unless you have mobility issues it wasn't a problem. There is a "beach" but we couldn't make it over the rocks into the water. You could walk to Coral beach in about 15 mins if that's your thing. In a few minutes you were on a strip of shops and bars if you wanted to get out. Rooms - i really liked the little blocks of rooms and despite our 4 rooms being scattered around the site you are never very far from each other. The rooms are clean and have air con and a patio. I thought they were very spacious with toiletries and towels provided plus a free safe. A little kitchenette too with tea and coffee. What we lacked were privacy curtains. Our room backed onto the road and gym and so had to keep curtains closed a lot as there were no nets. We also struggled with ants and we weren't the only ones in our party. Finally a small minibar would have been appreciated for all inclusive guests. Pool - Nice pool with a separate pool for watersports plus the aqua park. Plus an indoor pool and gym. Toilets were an issue as they were downstairs in the dark until we found some half way through the holiday in the aqua park. They didn't get cleaned enough during the day and could do with more and better signage. Not enough sun beds in desired areas. Some areas were very shaded for most of the day and about a quarter of the umbrellas didn't work. Although sunbed wars started early (around 7.30) I didn't see many unused beds for any length of time. Not enough cleaning up of plates and cups around pool area. Food - I was quite disappointed in the food to be honest. The meat was not very lean and very bony with some strange themes in the evening. Probably not as much selection as other hotels I have stayed in and some nights struggled to find much unless you wanted chips. The salad bar was really good though and was on at lunch and dinner. The staff worked really hard and generally were very quick at clearing and resetting although we struggled with a large enough table. The snack bar was good if you wanted nuggets and chips or a salad. We tried the Italian restaurant and were very much looking forward to Pannacotta which we didn't get! Drinks range was fair with quite a few cocktails, spirits and beer on offer at both bars. The staff on the bars worked really hard and were always busy. Lama on the pool bar was always polite and helpful and even did us drinks with reduced alcohol as we found them quite strong. Female with red hair on the main bar was great too. Entertainment - Day entertainment was good with Bethany and a couple of others getting us up and joining in fun activities. Night time was where we really felt let down. The stage is at the back of the restaurant and if you came to dinner mid shift it was very hard to find a table as people were there for the night. It became really loud from 8pm as the ents started whilst still eating. The night entertainment was pretty poor to be honest and most nights we couldn't sit through it. The on site team seemed to do loads as there were not many specialist acts. Sunday night had 2 great acts but of course we couldn't get a table. General hotel - Always very clean but could do with more public areas. The lobby of the hotel was busy with football and although it was nice, it wasn't big enough and noisy. The only bar in the evening was for the lobby, restaurant and entertainment and so was very busy. We longed to eat in one place and socialise in another. Again the staff on reception were very good and very helpful. Toilets were a bit of a mystery and you had a choice of toilets outside which were not great, toilets downstairs in the spa area which were in the dark after 8pm or some upstairs which were badly signed and seemed to be for the staff that seemed to be sleeping on several of the rooms on that floor. The hotel didn't seem big enough to accommodate all the guests on a busy night and we struggled to get fresh food, massive queues and lack of tables. It hard to say it was bad but equally I struggle to call it good. It was fair at best with both positives and negatives and actually has the potential to be really good as the staff were all great, it's in a nice fairly private area and most places were clean."
