Jam-packed hotel fit for the whole family
Mare Ayia Napa (formerly Atlantica Mare Village) goes big on just about everything – and it starts with the space. The hotel has spread out and made itself at home along this stretch of sandy coastline, with rooms scattered throughout the expansive gardens that stretch inland. And while the buzz of Ayia Napa might feel like it’s a world away here, it’s less than 10 minutes’ drive away, so you’re never too far from the bustling resort centre.
Make no mistake though – this place may just have you holding up here for your entire stay, and we can’t say we blame you. The main pool is plonked right on the beachfront, so you’ll be treated to sweeping sea views from the comfort of your sun lounger. There’s a separate, quieter pool tailored towards the grown-ups – where you can rent a luxe cabana to take your lazy day to the next level – and a splash park with slides that’s great fun for little ones. And then there’s the family-friendly activity pool where everyone can get involved in the fun.
And as if that wasn’t enough, this place packs in a serene spa, too. Treat yourself to a massage and you’ll also get access to the sauna, steam room, and indoor pool (heated in April and November) – the perfect combination to melt the stresses of daily life away. Wondering how you’ll get the kids out of your hair? The hotel has even got that sorted thanks to the daily kids’ club for ages four through twelve that lays on loads of organised activities to keep them busy.
Onto the food – and it doesn’t hold back either. Eight restaurants mean you’ll have loads of choice come dinnertime. The main restaurant lays out buffet spreads for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the other eateries serve a mixture of à la carte and set menus covering off the likes of barbeque, Italian, Greek, steak, burger house and Asian. Then there’s the street food spot, the Grab & Go snack bar, and maybe best of all, the gelateria that serves the perfect antidote to the Cypriot sunshine.
Rounding out the wining and dining offering are the four bars, two pitched up poolside, one lounge bar that overlooks the sea, and a swanky adults-only cocktail spot that hosts weekly DJ sessions.
