Ouril Hotel Julia

"Excellent hotel in central Santa Maria. We stayed one night on our way back to the UK. The hotel is on the main pedestrian street of Santa Maria, absolutely bang in the centre of everything. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely but it took a long time for the hot water to come through. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a balcony but with the number of people passing by on the street I felt like I was a mannequin in a shop window, so I didn't use it. There was air conditioning, which was a very nice thing to have on in the heat. Breakfast was included. They made us fresh omelettes, which were delicious. Also a good selection of fruit and a bit of chocolate cake. There was more on offer like bread and cheese and meats, but I don't eat much for breakfast. I didn't like the coffee from the machine, but it is probably just my personal taste. The staff were very nice about checking out and they even kept our luggage for a few hours before we went to the airport. "

"the hotel is in an exceptional location and it is the best recommendation. the rooms are ok, the breakfast was a buffet but with less option the surroundings are for walking and it is close to all attractions, so I recommend the hotel to everyone. I stayed there for three nights. the staff was friendly and responded quickly to every request and successfully completed them. Room was Big and clean."

"I have been in Santa Maria as a solo traveller, and wanted to have an central location, that was not in resort so i can enjoy my time the mostly. I like this place, as its like an small little boutique hotel, that is very small and newly refurbished. What i like, is the nice wallpaper, and the incredibly grande bathrooms, and the bed was also very good! The breakfast was an mix of cakes, and some sort of bread, with some jars of Nutella and Jam, that was basic but alright. For 45/Eur/night, i would stay! The only thing that you have to check, is that the city location is quite lively and thus perhaps you need some earplugs (that you have to buy before going to Santa Maria, i havent found them anywhere)"
