"Sorry about the long review but we wanted to love it unfortunately a few things let it down.
Starting from the beginning walking in the hotel definitely has a wow factor when entering. The staff at reception were lovely and helpful and we were able to upgrade from a non balcony room to one with a balcony for €10 per night which we thought was reasonable.
We arrived on the 30th and it was my birthday the following day so we were given a cake and champagne in the room which was lovely of them.
The food wasn’t good in my opinion. Some may enjoy it but it wasn’t to my taste and as a parent of a child with allergies I found it very difficult to keep his belly full. My son has an egg allergy and pretty much every single item in the restaurant contained egg even the chicken nuggets which obviously a child would want to eat, the pasta, the burgers everything apart from the chips it seemed. It was good though that everything was labelled and made an aware of what allergens were in the items. Just think they need to maybe reassess somethings as some of these items are widely available without most allergens and we never usually have trouble abroad with these. Me and my son also both ended up with sickness for 24 hrs which I am not blaming on the food as who knows where it could have come from it just seemed abit coincidental & did put me off slightly. The food at wet & wild was much better in my opinion we enjoyed the jacket potato’s and if it wasn’t for wet & wild we certainly would’ve been very hungry. Also shout out to the staff in the Italian restaurant it was worth every penny for the service we received and was 100% the best we experienced from this hotel. The food was also lovely and they were very catering to all needs.
Thankfully wet & wild stayed open for our whole stay as if it didn’t it would have been such a let down as it really made the holiday over there. The beach was lovely and the temp of the sea was much more comfortable than the pools. The entertainment was great particularly enjoyed the bike show and the Paw patrol show was great for the little ones. One thing I’d mention though is it’s incredibly slippy by the pools and pretty hazardous seen a few falls during our trip. The temp of the pools is also unbearable so bear in mind if you have small children they are probably going to hate it! Another thing is also the walk to wet & wild (which we sometimes had to do with a pushchair as room on the bus was limited) is traitorous I think the paths and walk ways should be better kept and also lit for people walking. I was also bitten to death by mosquitoes I’d imagine this was either during the walks or at the wet & wild entertainment as it’s on the grass. So use plenty of repellent if you’re likely to get bitten which I am usually not but for some reason covered this time all pretty nasty ones.
I also wouldn’t class this as an all inclusive really as you need plenty of money to go especially with children. It was €25 for my son to go on an electric car for 5 minutes then when we went in the kids club they wanted €20 to colour a t shirt and €15 to colour a cardboard cartoon in. The kids club wasn’t great in my opinion. Then the hotel shops being extortionate (may not be hotels fault) but I paid €12 for Pringles and cookies which obviously with my son barely being able to eat anything from the restaurant we had no other option but to purchase. We found migros down the road later in the week and stocked up with snacks from there for much less so bare in mind if you have fussy kids or adults to shop there or bring more snacks etc from home.
We used best trips Antalya for a few visits to land of legends and a meal at nemo there for my birthday which was amazing so would recommend a visit to there whilst in the area. The shopping next door is also pretty good and it’s handy to have a pharmacy so close by but we preferred to get a taxi down to Lara strip for our shopping. I felt abit stuck at the hotel as I’m used to being in maybe more built up areas. This hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere and most places require taxis to get from a to b specially if out later in the evening as the walk back from Lara strip is abit daunting to me, dark and stray dogs around.
All in all we made the most of our trip and did manage to enjoy it despite not being the luckiest in ways with sickness and infected bites etc lol. The staff we came across all worked incredibly hard and did a great job. From the waiters to the life guards everyone was friendly and kind. Also the cats and kittens all over were lovely. I was abit horrified by them at the beginning not being a huge cat person but towards the end of our stay I grew to really love them and was so glad to see all the staff are so lovely to them and they seem to have there own little area at the back of the hotel.
Overall the vibe of the hotel was nice enough but we personally wouldn’t visit the area again although I’m glad we did as it’s always good to see new places."
