"⭐ Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars (Stayed December 2025 – Family Trip along with two other families)
Please note that this review reflects our personal experience and is written in comparison with other hotels we have stayed in. This is a personal reflection of how I found the hotel and not a general comment on the hotel. I had not received any incentive from hotel or any other person for writing this review
Reception – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent first impression. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick, with minimal waiting time. They speak good English and was pleasant in their interactions. Checkout was equally smooth and well-handled.
Lobby and Lobby Bar – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The lobby area was of good size but may be slightly smaller for the size of the hotel. It gets busier during the peak time. The lobby was beautifully decorated and well maintained. The lobby bar is relatively small, with a good selection of drinks. However, there were no snacks on offer. There were no nuts or crisps available in the hotel which we like to have in general. Lobby is good for taking nice photos. Staff were polite but not particularly attentive or engaging.
Rooms / Room Service – ⭐⭐⭐
We were assigned room 221 which is a good size family room. It was on the first floor but next to a car park directly underneath. We could not sleep on first night as there were lot of noise from the road. It was same for my friend’s family who stayed on the same part of the building. (tip: avoid room 214 – 224). However, things get better next day. The floor supervisor asked how night was out very next day and we explained the problems with noises. He was so nice and provided us (both families) with different rooms. The new room was bigger and had additional seating area (free upgrade). The housekeeping was good and they did make up the room everyday of our stay.
The rooms were old and not of the best quality. However, they were on acceptable state without any major problem. The room lighting was very low which is a negative. Hotel would possibly needing major upgrade in future maintain the standards.
We booked a family room for five people. There were two bedrooms and a separate seating room. Each room had a small TV. There were two single beds in a one room and a large king size bed on the other. There was only one bathroom, and it was relatively small for the size of the room. The bathroom was old but clean.
The air conditioning worked fine but was slightly noisy. Overall, the room was clean but could benefit from refurbishment.
Minbar - ⭐
This was empty and never filled up. The booking description indicates that there will be drinks/snacks on the room and it will be filled daily. I go the impression that it mentioned that there will be fruit bawl in the room but was not provided. There were an electric kettle and usual sachets of coffee/ tea. No milk or cream in the room.
Aquapark – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Very good aquapark with a great range of slides for all ages, including a separate section for younger children. Well-organised, rarely overcrowded, and one of the highlights of the resort. One of the downsides is that there was no separate good size pool in the aqua park. There is a wave pool, but it was only operated in short periods. I did not notice many people using the wave pool.
One of the suggestions is to make good size pool there which would likely benefits parents while kids playing in the aquapark. This will allow people to play some family games as the other pool was a quite pool.
There is couple of juice bars and a large restaurant (botanica) in the aquapark area. You get variety slush drinks, cocktails, ice creams and good selection of food in the aquapark area. There is limited flavours on ice cream though.
Pool ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The hotel has only one large pool. This was heated and away from the aquapark. It was designated as a quite pool and no play is allowed. It was a decent size pool and water was warm. It was clean and not very crowded despite hotel was near capacity.
Beach – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The beach is about 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel on the other side of the road. The road is not busy and can definitely walk on your beach towel. You need to access it thorough their sister hotel.
The beach was one of the best aspects of the hotel. It was clean and nice. No many waves and appears safe. Water was clear and you can see fish swimming around you. It was clean and pleasant. There were plenty of beach chairs and they were very conformable and clean. It is a unique beach, and one must experience it as difficult to explain.
There is a nice beach bar where you can have range of drinks and snacks. You can stay all day on the beach without needing to go back to the hotel.
Entertainment – ⭐⭐⭐
The hotel has a very large entertainment arena. However, seats arranged on a flat level and not making a good use of the space. You struggle to view properly if you sit on back seats. The people on front seats started recording while stand.
The selection of events was not very good and appears on the same theme. There was not many varieties of the items. We end up not going there for last few nights. The bar was good and you get popcorn and range of drinks.
Spa – ⭐
This was the most disanointing aspect of the hotel. You have to pay extra for facilities including a sauna, steam room, and Turkish bath. This is despite you pay for all-inclusive package. The spa packages were very expensive. The spa was relatively small considering the size of the hotel.
I understand that it will be very crowded if this was made free. However, given the amount they are investing, it is worth investing on a large spa or having multiple spa facilities and making it a part of all-inclusive package.
Staf at the spa was not very friendly.
Gym – ⭐⭐⭐ Small compared to the size of the hotel. However, it was maintained well. There was no towel or water available on the Gym. We ended up not suing after the first day. Staf doesn’t seemed friendly either.
Food and drinks
Main Restaurant – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The restaurant was good size but may be slightly small for the number of guests. It can get busy during the dinner. The staff was nice and friendly. Guests were often left to fetch their own drinks.
The breakfast was as usual and appears same every day. I wouldn’t blame this as this was the case for most of the places we stayed before. However, there was a good variation of food for lunch and dinner menu. One of the best food variations I have observed in a resort. The food taste was good though we prefer spicier food.
There were a range of desert and some day today variation. They taste good and different. There were plenty of good quality fruit available.
Coffee Machines – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Relatively good coffee machines and good selection of coffees. You can get freshly grounded coffee selection at the lobby bar (with some latter art)
Drinks (Non-Alcoholic) – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A reasonable selection overall, of good quality. Guests often had to collect drinks from the counter. There were some table services at the lobby.
Patisserie and timing of food– ⭐⭐⭐
There was no patisserie at the hotel. There was no much options on food/drinks after 10pm for late comers or people returned from long tips to Cairo (etc).
Final impression
Overall Impression – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I think the hotel lived up to its official 4-star rating. While some areas food and aquapark were excellent, some aspects like spa, and gym did not meet four-star expectations. The resort layout is large but convenient.
Would we return? It is a tough choice. There are a lot of positives but not included spa facility is our main reason if we are not looking forward to booking again. Having said that we may return if there is a good offer."
