"Top hotel, great staff, Sandy upgraded us to an amazing room as our original room wasn’t available. Quality food, top facilities, kids won’t get bored. Good animation team and evening entertainment, couldn’t ask for more in the sun."

"Fantastic holiday, brilliant hotel, so clean, fabulous food, very good location with amazing views. Pools lovely especially infinity pool. Lifeguard lady lovely, lots of jokey banter with the kids. Drinks choice on AI not bad, best drinks are prosecco, gin & tonic, Malibu (dupe) and coke. Good to help yourself to a prosecco if queue at the bar. Nice walk down road and down steps, never walked back, taxi 5 euro. Entertainment not the best, lot of dancing shows, would be nice to have tribute singers but lovely to sit on the area outside the entertainment area in the evening. Gym is very good. Small pots of ice cream in snack bar are very nice. Best beaches are Amadores and Anfi, good snorkelling at both."

"We searched for months to find a hotel that would suit the needs of our family. We decided to go for this one, it was expensive but it was our honeymoon & big family holiday all rolled into one. We went as a family of 4, our children aged 10 years old and 6 months old. We had booked a family room with sea view. A family room has a separate bedroom and a double bed in the living area. On their unofficial Facebook group members recommend contacting the hotel to arrange a private transfer as that seems to be the cheapest. I emailed them in September to ask for a transfer to be booked with a car seat and also emailed them the week before arrival to double check we will have a car seat. Arrival - upon arriving to the airport we walked to our private transfer, no car seat. The driver said to sit our 6 month old on my lap for a 25/30 minute journey. Absolutely no way!! I showed him the emailed between myself and the hotel and he said the taxi company do not have car seats. Once he realised we were not going to budge he took our suitcases out and drove off. It was then a race against time to find a taxi with a car seat before the Jet2 coach transfer which was included in our package left. Thankfully after a lot of running back and forth we were taken to a shack that had an array of car seats in. These were pretty much from the 90s and would not of saved our baby in a crash. On arriving at the hotel we were served by Sandy. She became annoyed and very rude when we said we were not going to pay the transfer because 1 we didn’t use it, 2 they hadn’t told him we needed a car seat and 3 he drove off and left us. Her response was to hold up the piece of paper and patronisingly said ‘so who’s going to pay this then’. Our reply was ‘not us’. We were next told we had been upgraded to a swim up room. My 10 year old giddy with excitement we headed to our upgraded room only to find it was one big room. No separate sleeping area. This absolutely didn’t suit our family as we cannot expect our 10 year old to creep about and whisper in our room from 7pm every night whilst her brother slept and we couldn’t expect him a 6 month old baby to be quiet anytime from his usual 5.30am wake up in the mornings whilst our 10 year old slept. My husband went back to reception to explain and was met with ‘this is the best room in the hotel we don’t have any family rooms to give you’. We then realised that the room didn’t have a kitchenette like the family room had so were unable to sterilise bottles. My husband went back up to reception again and explained we needed a micro wave. Sandy said there wasn’t any to give us and we could use the one in the office. My husband took the bottles back to reception where another receptionist said ‘I will get you a microwave for your room’. My husband explained what Sandy had said to him, the receptionist replied ‘I’m not Sandy’ and winked at him. 10 minutes later we had a microwave. By this time it was 11pm. Baby exhausted and screamed for a full hour. If our transfer and room was correct it would have saved us at least 1.5 hours of hassle. The next morning my husband goes back up to reception to speak to the manager about our room. Again we were met with ‘but this is the best room in the hotel’. He explained that it didn’t suit our needs as a family. Miraculously a room was going to be available by 12pm and my husband would receive a phone call. No phone call came so back to reception and we were given a family rooms The rooms - the swim up room was actually lovely and modern. However the shower in the bathroom mouldy and the skirting boards in the room were black with filth. Fridge didn’t work. Family room was just what we needed for our family dynamic. However despite a renovation some years ago it just hasn’t been looked after, floors were disgusting (we didn’t put our crawling 6 month on the floor the whole stay) and the skirting boards black again. Beds comfy which were a bonus! Main areas - the main areas were clean and fresh looking, pool we never had a problem finding a sunbed and there were plenty of pools to choose from. Food and drink - were fantastic. Lots of drink stations dotted around. Food has so many different options. Staff - apart from the unhelpful receptionists the staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful etc. cleaner was so lovely! Views - are really out of this world! You will never get bored of them. Entertainment - we didn’t stay for the entertainment but our room was close to it and it sounded good. Why only 3 stars? The arrival wasn’t great but what really did it for us was on day 4 my husband and children came down with a sickness bug as well as my baby contracting hand foot and mouth. Reception didn’t care, the water in the resort then stopped working. We made the decision to jump ship and changed our flights to that night. On arrival home my daughter also came down with hand food and mouth and I have spent the day in bed with sickness and terrible cramps. This holiday cost us over £3.5k for it to be cut terribly short and make us all really poorly. Our baby was premature and only 6 months old, this is the last thing he needs for his immune system. We won’t be returning."
