"This hotel exceeded my expectations it was lovely and clean all throughout. We stayed in a premium bungalow it was perfect for 4 of us 2 ad 2ch.The pool area was amazing. The pool bar food was beautiful the entertainment was brilliant when we stayed on the complex and the atmosphere was brilliant and everyone enjoying themselves. The only downside was not able to have floats or balls in the pool but the children loved it regardless. We stayed self catering so can’t comment on food in the hotel. Definitely worth the money. The location isn’t too far away it’s a 18 minute walk to Holiday world or taxis are quick. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic nothing was too much trouble for them. I would happily come back to this hotel :)"

"We stayed for 10 days at the end of July and enjoyed our time at the Caybeach. As always, I think doing your research and setting expectations helps when you’re not paying for a 4/5 star holiday. We had a standard apartment self catering which was clean and spacious and being on two levels gives it a nicer appeal (you don’t feel boxed in). Only mentioning this in relation to other reviews - we saw one cockroach inside the whole 10 days! It happens (just keep your windows or curtain closed where possible and your apartment clean). We knew about the aircon only being in the bedroom so brought a small but powerful flat pack desk fan from Amazon (pictured). This kept our 9 year old who slept in the living aera cool each night. Reception was great on arrival everything well explained and the staff generally very friendly all round. Kids club ran most days am/pm but our daughter was a little old for it and has never been one for that sort of thing so she only went once with a friend she’d made. Entertainment is sparse but we expected this and aren’t fussed anyway as we go out most nights. The whole no floaties/balls in the pool was baffling when they all came out as soon as the lifeguard clocked off. They are very strict in this so don’t bother trying before then. Regardless kids seem to manage ok so long as they could make a friend or two as there’s plenty of pool area to explore. Ate at the pool bar a few times - pizzas are delicious freshly made and if you’re lucky you might get cheesy chips (seems to depend on who’s serving you as to whether it’s an option). We also had burgers one night which were tasty. Paid for the breakfast on our last day which I thought was excellent plenty to choose from and a good way to fill up before you travel home. If you can bring a hair dyer do. There is one but it’s an odd contraption that frazzled my hair so I ended up letting it air dry! Eating out wise - If you can walk there is a complex about 10 minutes away (no hills) called CC Faro where you’ll find 2 restaurants and a Dino Market (or atleast this was the case during our stay), other bars etc appeared to be in operation in but closed up. We ate at the El Toro Piedra II where the food and service was lovely (the complex was mostly empty so off putting at first glance but this was a hidden gem) and the supermarket is a decent sized one. We knew overall it would be a distance from bars/restaurants so expected to pay for taxis daily but having stayed in Gran Canaria before we know how cheap these are. Otherwise we ate/drank out mostly at Playa de Ingles as we found this to be both cheaper and livelier than the main Mas Palomas Strip and more our sort of vibe. Visited Maspalomas World one night which again is walkable if able though too far for younger children - this has plenty to keep the kids busy and lots of street food options (Mr Kale is good for a breakfast). Finally give the Love and Hate diner a visit (about at 20 min walk but hilly) excellent burgers, lovely staff and amazing set up if you like your rock music, motorbikes, axe throwing/and or quirky atmosphere (or indeed fancy booking in for a tattoo!)."

"Great hotel. Rooms were basic but that was what I expected. We didn't spend much time in the rooms. Very clean, air con in bedroom was much needed. You can hire a remote but we didn't bother. You can just switch on and off on the unit. Pool area was being cleaning every morning. Grounds were lovely and saw people sweeping the walk ways more than once. Poolside snack bar did lovely food and cocktails. Buffet breakfast from 8-10. 10 euros each just turn up, no need to book. Sunbeds unlocked at 10am. Could always find a bed somewhere even when arriving in afternoon at pool. Pool was amazing but no inflatables allowed until after the lifeguard goes off duty at 6pm. Little shop attached. Open 8-7. Very well stocked. Only downside is the location. We hired a car which we used everyday. There are no restaurants in a short walking distance."
