"This was a really lovely hotel with lots to offer, but there is also room for improvement.
The good:
The room itself was spotless, spacious and gorgeous. We had a massive balcony overlooking the sea, and the beds were very comfy. However, it was up a steep hill and three flights of stairs with no railing, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the room for you. Stay closer to reception.
The staff were friendly and helpful and even gifted me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Thank you so much!!
The pool area was beautiful and tranquil. The perfect place to spend the morning/afternoon.
Be aware that the hotel is about a 15-minute drive from the main town of Mykonos, and nothing is accessible by foot. You need a car, motorbike, or ATV to access anything outside of the hotel. A free shuttle is provided every 2 hours from the hotel, which is VERY helpful, but I think every hour would be more convenient.
Needs improvement:
Breakfast service was always chaos. Tables were consistently dirty and rarely set with cutlery or coffee cups. The waitresses were running around and ignoring everyone simultaneously. That's not to say they weren't lovely, but they were always stressed, which made for a frenetic breakfast experience.
The food overall was mediocre. We arrived in the evening, so we had to have dinner at the restaurant. The prices were inflated for what we received. The pizza was fine, but the gyros arrived cold with soggy fries.
Breakfast selection was the same every day, and often buffet items were not replaced.
We took a chance and ate by the pool one day, and everything was edible (Dakas and club sandwich) but not delicious. The food in town is much fresher, tastier, and more reasonably priced.
The unfortunate:
They do not provide drinking water.
We travel all the time and have never stayed in a hotel where the tap water is undrinkable and the hotel does not provide water. You will get one bottle on your first day, but the expectation is that you will procure your own from outside or purchase it from the hotel from then on. We had no idea and kept calling the front desk to ask for water each day. On the phone we were told that complementary water should be in our room each day, but on the third day of not receiving it after maid service we queried it again and were told the opposite from the woman at the front desk.
The hotel is also on a flight path, so planes fly overhead, and it's quite noisy. I have earplugs, so it wasn't an issue for me, but my husband struggled with the noise from the planes.
The good definitely outweighs the unfortunate for this hotel. We would return, but next time with water, earplugs, and snacks."
