Warwick Reine Astrid - Lyon

"One of my favorite hotels in Lyon. Comfortable hotel, spacious rooms, pleasant setting next to the Tête d'Or park."

"This is undoubtedly one of the best all-round hotels that I have ever used. It's located in a mainly residential part of Lyon, very close to a large park and public transport to all parts of the city centre. The room we had was very large - 55 square metres - big enough for an apartment that two people could live in permanently. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak good English if you need it. The restaurant is much better than the average hotel dining room: quite a short menu but enough choice to meet anyone's needs, and excellently prepared and presented. There are also several excellent other restaurants within an easy walk. The kitchenette facilities in the room were a little basic, but they did include a good refrigerator, an induction hob, a microwave and dishwasher - plus the ubiquitous pod coffee maker. The only downside was that for the 10 days that we were there one of the lifts (elevators) was out of action, leading to long waits for the only other lift. I would certainly use this hotel again if I were to visit Lyon."

The property is about a 20-minute walk from old town. The bus stops just steps away from the front door, in both directions."
