"We had a fantastic stay at The King Jason Protaras and would honestly give it 5/5 ⭐️. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.
A special shoutout to Andre and Osama, who were both incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as all the other staff whose names I unfortunately can’t remember! Everyone worked so hard throughout our stay and no task was ever too big. The service was brilliant from start to finish. The guys delivering drinks around the pool especially deserve a massive shoutout. We were genuinely never left without a drink!
The manager was also frequently walking around the hotel and checking that everything was okay, which was a lovely touch and showed how much attention was given to making sure guests were happy.
The drinks were amazing, from cocktails and milkshakes to iced lattes. The desserts at Mamachou were also absolutely delicious. There was plenty of choice when it came to food, and our favourite nights were definitely Italian night and carvery night. We also really liked that the menu was available to look at in advance, so you could see what was being served before deciding what you wanted. The food was delicious overall and lots of choice.
Our room was comfortable and had excellent air conditioning, which could easily be adjusted to suit us. The beds were quite comfy and the shower was incredibly powerful. The shower area was a little grimy and could probably do with being updated, but this didn’t take away from the overall experience. The fridge was a good size and there was always a bottle of water available, which was a lovely touch.
For three people, we did find that there wasn’t quite enough wardrobe space, so a little more storage would have been useful. The balcony was also quite small for our liking.
The pool area was lovely, and the jacuzzi and massage features were a fantastic bonus, especially for relaxing during the day. The pool beds and normal sunbeds were also really comfortable.
Entertainment was fairly limited, with a guitarist, pianist or DJ providing music while you were eating and drinking, but we personally didn’t find this to be a major issue.
The location is absolutely amazing. Being right on the beach was a huge bonus 🏖️. You can walk straight out of the hotel and you’re at the sea. It’s also only around a 5 minute walk to the strip, so the location really is perfect. As you’d expect, the beach does get quite busy during peak season, but being able to step straight from the hotel onto the beach more than makes up for it.
The arrival was also lovely and welcoming. Our suitcases were taken straight to our room, and we were given a drink, chocolates and towels when we arrived. It was a really nice first impression and made us feel welcomed straight away.
If you book through TUI, there is also a TUI representative at the hotel around lunchtime, which was useful to have if you needed any help or had questions during your stay.
One thing I would definitely recommend is booking a late checkout if it’s available. Standard checkout is at 12pm, but we booked a late checkout and were able to keep our room until 6pm, which made such a difference on our last day and meant we could enjoy the hotel right up until we left.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at The King Jason Protaras ❤️. The staff, service, drinks, food and location really stood out to us. There are a few small areas that could be improved, but they certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning. A huge thank you to the whole team for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
