Overall Impression My recent stay offered a very practical, well-connected base with exceptional customer service and great modern room tech. While the experience was largely positive, a few housekeeping oversights and minor bathroom design flaws kept it from being a perfect stay. However, for travelers looking for convenience, strong Wi-Fi, and hard-working hospitality, it delivers solid value. Location and Arrival The hotel is a straightforward 7 to 10 minute walk from the local station. Be careful relying entirely on Google Maps or similar navigation apps to find the entrance, as they tend to direct you down quiet side streets rather than the most direct pedestrian routes. During daytime hours, you can take a very convenient shortcut straight through the adjacent Westfield shopping center. Keep in mind that late at night, when the shopping center is closed, the surrounding streets can feel a bit rough, so solo travelers or late arrivers may want to stick to well-lit main roads. The immediate surroundings are fantastic for essentials, giving you quick access to the Westfield complex, local street markets, major supermarkets, fast food outlets, and sit-down restaurants. Anything you forget to pack or need to grab on the go is right on your doorstep. Service and Hospitality The team working here is without a doubt the hotel's greatest asset. Every employee I interacted with was remarkably friendly, helpful, and attentive. You can clearly see how hard the staff work behind the scenes to keep the property running smoothly under a high volume of guests. A few of the front desk and service crew deserve a genuine raise for their effort and positive attitudes. Room Comfort and Tech Setup The bedroom is reasonably proportioned, offering a functional layout, though space is slightly tight if you are traveling with large hard-shell suitcases or multiple pieces of luggage. The bed itself was clean, bug-free, and provided a very comfortable night's sleep. The only real bizarre housekeeping lapse was finding an old slice of cheese sitting on the floor next to the bed upon check-in. It was a minor annoyance, but housekeeping definitely needs to pay closer attention to floor-level inspections during room turns. Modern travelers will appreciate the room layout. There are plenty of accessible wall sockets right where you need them to charge phones, tablets, and laptops. The Wi-Fi connection was exceptionally fast and reliable throughout the stay, which is ideal for streaming movies or getting work done. The TV is a good size for the room and supports direct app streaming, allowing you to easily cast your own Netflix or YouTube accounts. Work-wise, the room features a basic pull-out foldable desk that gets the job done for brief laptop tasks. A fantastic and thoughtful addition to the room is a dedicated side pantry area. Having access to your own microwave, kettle, and Nespresso coffee machine makes a huge difference for quick meals or morning coffee. Bathroom Features and Maintenance Issues The bathroom was the one area that felt under-designed and in need of practical maintenance. The main bathroom door failed to close or latch properly, which limits privacy. The shower unit is quite cramped and lacks an adequate screen or barrier to contain the water stream. As a result, water sprays out onto the main bathroom floor, creating a messy and slippery surface every time you wash. Additionally, there are no hooks mounted on the wall directly outside the shower enclosure to hang a towel or bathrobe. Adding simple, low-cost fixtures like towel hooks and a better splash guard would immediately transform the guest experience. Final Verdict If you need a well-located hotel surrounded by endless food and shopping options, strong internet, and friendly service, this property is an easy recommendation. It hits all the modern fundamentals well, including great coffee facilities, smart TV streaming, hairdryer, and comfortable bedding. If management resolves the minor bathroom hardware flaws and ensures housekeeping double-checks room floors, this hotel will easily earn top marks across the board."

"Mark is for room only. We are in room 108, directly across from a pub/disco so unless you want music and noise until 3am in the morning then avoid like the plague. Absolutely no soundproofing, we may as well be trying to sleep on the street. Asked to move but no rooms available. Apparently. Room itself is fine and bed is comfortable but after a long day of travel it’s a pity we won’t get a decent nights sleep. Based on lack of sleep, poor value for money."

"The queen room was described as having a fridge but it was a minibar so perishable items could not be safely stored. The lights are turned off/on by an electric panel which broke whilst I was there. This lead me to sleep multiple nights with the bathroom light fully on. I reported the fault first thing in the morning and was told than an engineer would visit to fix it. When I returned in the evening the light was not fixed and I was informed that the engineer would not enter my room as the do not disturb hanger was on the door and then had finished for the day. I removed the do not disturb hanger the second day, but the light was not fixed. When I asked to be moved to another room I was told this was not possible as the hotel was fully booked which was understandable. When I asked if I would be refunded for my additional nights if I left I was told it was unlikely and they could not guarantee it until morning when management were back at work. As issues arise in hotels across 24 hours I would suggest that the hotel has management and maintenance available outside of 9-5 working hours. The wifi was good and it was quiet. Overall I will not return to this hotel knowing that basic issues are not fixed and will return to staying at the Ibis across the road."
