The Goodenough on Mecklenburgh Square

"The Goodenough hotel is good enough, but it's incredibly hard to justify its price point, which positions itself as somewhere that might offer high-end amenities, lifts to all floors, large comfortable rooms, and attentive staff. It has none of these things: Toiletries in the room are basic. Coffee making facilities are below par. Rooms are in adjacent buildings, up many narrow flights of stairs. Staff do their job, no more. It's not even that well located."

"Good location and service. Decent space for a London hotel, and the garden on the square is a bonus."

"Very beautiful suite, comfortable and spacious, very friendly reception service. The suite is well located overlooking the garden on the 1st floor. Breakfast at Goodenough College is traditional, very good and inexpensive. The only problem: the room cleaning. We had to ask for the cutlery and trays, as well as the table to be cleaned, for the vacuuming to be done, and for the toilet paper to be replaced in the bathroom. For an establishment of this price and this range it is clearly not up to standard. Also, the TV "built into" a wobbly piece of furniture in the living room is outdated, not a smart TV, still works on antenna cable (which was not working when we arrived). Here too, it is not a service up to the level of the establishment."
