"My wife and I stayed here on the Saturday 28th Feb this year for one night.
We absolutely loved it
In my eyes, it’s blowing away. It’s competition.
Lucky enough to stay at the Corinthia Hamyard many others but this hotel it’s not only more beautiful than many of its competitors. What really wins it for us is how exceptional the staff are.
From when we arrive on foot after getting the train to London, our first point of contact was obviously the doorman who gave a happy warm welcome and immediately you were relaxed.
Went to reception and I would say apart from a hotel in Mauritius this was the best check-in process I’ve ever experienced just because it was friendly efficient informative and often one of my criticisms of staying the Corinthia is sometimes you’re checking in and it feels like they’re doing you a favour checking you in and you don’t feel very welcome, trying to be too professional and having no warmth or welcoming ability, well the staff at this hotel didn’t suffer from that.
We had lunch, which was good in the Mediterranean restaurant on site, they actually gave me an incorrect beer but noticed it immediately changed it and didn’t charge that’s five star right there.
Food was pretty good in the restaurant staff were very nice.
Our was ready went up to our and it was beautiful tall ceilings , very clean , beautiful windows the bathroom was excellent and the room was just really well thought out and great attention to detail plus coffee machine Kettle etc, loved all the different mood lighting. ( room 226 bright and lovely )
Loved the staircase just the whole building is beautiful and steep with history
The spa is excellent really really nice with a massive pole for once you can swim properly in a hotel , spent the afternoon in the spa felt super relaxed after.
We had dinner in the Japanese rooftop restaurant that’s for a different review.
It was pretty good really nice vibe but quite expensive when we return, we will try one of the other restaurants which are fully connected to the hotel
The truth is you don’t need to leave the hotel.
It’s got a great coffee pastry shop in the courtyard multiple restaurants.
We booked the spy bar after which was really cool going underground to the 007 room no camera phones and great cocktails definitely something you have to do at least once.
Another sign of it being a really thoughtful hotel was the fact we left there do not disturb digital sign on and room service team contacted us at 9:45 to ask if we wanted our room serviced which was excellent and we said yes and the turndown service was 10 out of 10, even a bedtime story.
We did the war room tours the next day after a fantastic breakfast, the tour was excellent very informative and just really showed you again how beautiful this hotel is.
Love the hotel the room the staff the spa it was absolutely all faultless.
What a great day my wife and I had this weekend and we can’t wait to return
Keep up the good work guys you’re getting it so right."
