Hotel Indigo London Paddington Hyde Park

"Hotel room was small but adequate. Bathroom sink drained slowly throughout our visit, despite telling the front desk about it the day we arrived. Each day we had to ask for more towels. Face cloths were in short supply; we had to ask for them and most days they only gave us one, claiming they had an inadequate number on hand. The floor rug was filthy, the bathroom mirror was not cleaned, and they never changed the comforter once during our 6 night stay. The hotel is situation in a perfect location, less than two blocks from Paddington. They’d be doing themselves a favor by improving their housekeeping service."

"I am rather surprised by the negative reviews, I only had positive interaction with the staff. I got in early Sunday morning and nothing was available, Ana who was very helpful took my number and said she would try to get a room ready for me. An hour later I received a text message my room was ready. The room was fine for me since I was traveling solo but I felt the bathroom was a little small. The room was very clean and I had a view overlooking the main street and the park on the other side of the road. The hotel is a little strange because you down a hallway and you are now in another hotel, maybe a Mercure hotel, I'm no sure. The elevator worked fine, never a long wait and I could easily walk down the stairs to the Italian restaurant on the ground floor. I stayed at this hotel cause I am an IHG member and it was close to Paddington station so I could get around, unfortunately most of the tube lines were closed due to a strike. Getting around London was a miserable experience, the bus lines were packed and using Uber was outrageous, I did have a tour scheduled so I had to get there using an Uber and I was charged me over $70.00 to go about 2 miles. Most of the places I wanted to visit were just to far away so most of this trip was wasted. But I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again, although the rooms might be to small for a family."

"THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE HOTEL INDIGO PADDINGTON LONDON UK. We were bait and switched from the Mercure Hyde Park London. The lobby of the Hotel Indigo was neat and clean. The rooms were dirty, the hospitality staff rude bordering on hostile and the front desk was so confused/clueless and tried to appease us with free breakfasts and dinner vouchers. Let me explain. I booked two rooms for two nights at the Mercure Hyde Park London UK and was told they did not have our reservation. UGH! I showed my reservation confirm and we ended up at the Hotel Indigo (not by choice). Each room at the Hotel Indigo was very small, dirty area rugs inside the rooms and in the hallways, broken curtains, inoperative smoke detector, dirty windows to the back side of the hotel, rude/hostile cleaning staff, locked out of one room, and clueless desk staff. One room was right next to a bar area and we heard music and talking late into the night as well as lights into the room because the curtains would not close. Both rooms had dirty/nasty water kettles and Nespresso machines that did not work. One room I booked for family received a VERY RUDE and frightening knock from hotel hospitality cleaning staff telling the two young women in the room to GET OUT! Needless to say, I got a call from my two scared adult daughters that someone was trying to enter the room without permission. They did not let the person in. By the time I got to their room, the person was gone. We went to the front desk and they were clueless about what went on. We went about our day and returned to find our daughters were locked out of their room. This caused panic. We told hotel staff and they unlocked the room with little explanation as to why. Luckily all their things were still there. The next morning, I heard the phone ring and could not answer in time. We went about our day and AGAIN our daughters were locked out of their room! UGH! That phone call I did not answer was the front desk calling about how they did not bill our stay correctly and that is why they kept locking one of the rooms! When we went downstairs to figure out the bill, they tried to gaslight us/me by saying they tried to call. Really? One phone call! Hotel staff could have left a note, called again or came to the room! This is one of the WORST hotel experiences we have ever had. Do not book with the Hotel Indigo Paddington. Avoid this place!"
