"We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of September and overall we were very, very happy with our stay. Of course, there were a few things that could have been better, but the hotel has some huge advantages that made our holiday a truly memorable experience.
🌊 The beach – the biggest advantage
The hotel is in a great location, and one of its biggest advantages is the beautiful beach located practically right next to the hotel.
The beach really impressed us – beautiful, fine sand, free sun loungers, a gentle entrance into the sea and, above all, incredibly clear and transparent water. I can easily compare the clarity of the water to what we experienced in Fuerteventura.
There was also a beach bar where you could get selected drinks, soft drinks and water, including bottled water. Small tables were placed between the sun loungers, which made everything very convenient.
The beach and the sea itself were definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
🏊 Swimming pools and hotel grounds
There are two swimming pools at the hotel. One had activities and entertainment, so it was livelier and louder. The other was much quieter – there was practically nothing happening there apart from guests relaxing. This was a great option for anyone who wanted some peace and quiet, to read a book or simply have a nap without music and activities going on around them.
The hotel also has a very nice garden with a private bar for Star Prestige guests. We didn't use this area very often, mainly because of the very high temperatures and high humidity, which can be quite intense in Tunisia.
🍹 Bars and service
We really enjoyed the lobby bar, which the hotel refers to as the terrace. This is where we had the best cocktails, and the service was genuinely excellent – friendly, smiling and efficient.
Unfortunately, our experience at the pool bar was completely different. Several times we tried to order drinks, but despite having Star Prestige status, the staff would simply nod and then disappear. The drinks never arrived.
After several attempts, we stopped trying. I understand tipping as a way of saying thank you for good service, but I don't believe a tip should be a condition for receiving service in the first place. With an all-inclusive package, I expect basic service to be provided without having to pay extra for it.
🍽️ Food – a huge selection, but not really my style
When it comes to the amount and variety of food, there is absolutely no shortage of choice. There were many different dishes, as well as stations offering local Tunisian cuisine.
Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite to my taste, mainly because of the way many dishes were prepared. There was a lot of deep-fried food and plenty of sweet options.
If you enjoy hearty, sweet and fried food, you will certainly find plenty to choose from. Personally, I was looking for lighter meals.
For breakfast, I usually had fresh cheese with vegetables, tomatoes and cucumber.
What disappointed me was the selection of fresh fruit. I expected that being in Tunisia, we would be able to try a greater variety of local fruit. Instead, the most common options were apples, peaches, melon and grapes – fruit that we can easily buy in Poland as well.
I was hoping for at least watermelons and bananas and a greater variety overall. I simply wanted to experience the taste of real African fruit. Unfortunately, that was missing for me.
🛏️ Room and housekeeping
The room was nice and clean. Towels were changed every day, the bed was beautifully made each day, and the housekeeping staff prepared lovely little decorations using towels and sometimes even our pyjamas. It was a very nice touch.
I do have one minor criticism regarding the cleaning of some surfaces. Mirrors, glass surfaces and the tops of tables often had visible streaks and smudges, which didn't look particularly good.
There were very practical water stations along the corridors. You could refill your bottle with very cold still water, or with still or sparkling water at room temperature.
Each room had a glass bottle that could be refilled whenever needed. This was a great and environmentally friendly solution – there was no need to go downstairs every time you wanted some drinking water.
⭐ Star Prestige – a nice extra, but is it worth paying more?
We stayed with the Star Prestige option, but after our experience, we feel that it isn't really essential.
The biggest advantage was the huge terrace on the third floor with sun loungers and two jacuzzis. There was also a bartender there who provided drinks and snacks.
The area itself was very pleasant, but because of the heat and humidity, we didn't use it as often as we had originally expected.
On arrival, we were each given a welcome glass of a non-alcoholic drink. For my husband's 50th birthday, he also received a lovely letter from reception with birthday wishes and information about a 25% discount on SPA treatments.
All of this was very nice, but for us it wasn't important enough to justify paying a significant extra amount for Star Prestige. If I were choosing again, I would probably consider the standard all-inclusive option.
🎶 Evening entertainment and atmosphere
This was another huge plus.
There were lots of tables outside where you could sit, order a drink and listen to music. There was karaoke, shows in the amphitheatre, dance performances and live music.
We particularly enjoyed the performance by professional African dancers accompanied by typical African music. There were also performances by the hotel's entertainment team.
And this is where the entire animation team deserves a huge thank you. They were genuinely lovely people.
We especially remember Mariem, who became a friend during our stay. On our very first day, when she heard that we were from Poland, she said she could immediately "feel our good vibes" and that we seemed very friendly and open. 😊
Mariem was not only lovely but also incredibly helpful. She contacted us on WhatsApp and sent us information about places worth visiting, recommended things to do outside the hotel, explained how to get there and told us who to contact about local excursions.
Thanks to her recommendations, we used the services of a man named Aladdin and went on a catamaran trip to look for dolphins.

We went out on a catamaran and managed to see them. It was a fantastic experience.
Aladdin was a very friendly and funny guy. He had his own characteristic phrase, which he repeated quite often: "No money, no friends" – partly as a joke, although perhaps partly seriously too. 😄
He also offered quad-bike trips, as well as camel and horse rides. We decided not to take part in the latter. Personally, I don't support using animals for this kind of tourist attraction, and it is something I feel quite strongly about.
While travelling through the city, we also saw quite a lot of horse-drawn carriages. With temperatures reaching around 35–40°C, seeing the horses looking tired and standing on the streets without any visible access to water was difficult for me. This is simply not a form of tourism that I would personally like to support.
🎂 Rafał's 50th birthday – a moment we will never forget
The most special part of our stay was my husband's birthday.
On Sunday, the hotel organised a White Party on the beach. Everyone was dressed in white, there was a DJ, competitions, dancing and a fantastic atmosphere.
Mariem and her manager were incredibly helpful in organising a surprise for Rafał. At one point, her manager asked Rafał to come over, announced to everyone that it was his 50th birthday, and suddenly the entire beach started singing "Happy Birthday" to him.
I honestly got goosebumps.
There was a birthday cake with candles and balloons. I had brought a large inflatable number "50" with me, so I added that to the decorations, and everything turned out beautifully.
It was one of those moments that stay with you for a very long time. ❤️
❤️ Overall
Would we recommend this hotel? We will definitely remember it very fondly.
Of course, it wasn't perfect. There are things that could be improved – especially the poolside service, the thoroughness of cleaning some surfaces, and the selection of fresh fruit and the way some of the food was prepared.
But at the same time, the hotel has some huge advantages: a beautiful beach, wonderfully clear sea, free sun loungers, two swimming pools, lovely grounds, great evening entertainment and, above all, wonderful people.
And it was the people who made this holiday more than just another trip.
