"Overall this is an excellent hotel. Ideal for families as not too big but loads to do.
Hotel its self is lovely, modern and very clean. Staff were all fantastic, friendly and approachable. We had an amazing holiday, would highly recommend the Barut Goia!!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (1 double, 1 twin, living room, bathroom, balcony, kitchenette with fridge and coffee machine (only)) which was ideal with a 6 year old and 3 year old. The room was very clean and had plenty of storage.
The fridge has complimentary drinks that will be restocked, beers, juice & water.
You get beach towels in your room and can get fresh ones at the spa as frequently as you wish.
There are two sides to the hotel, people calling it ‘quiet’ and ‘noisy’ , the noisy side was where the water slides are and music played all day and where the foam / pool party is on a Friday. We spent all of our time here (although our room was at the far side of the hotel!)
The pools are the same on both sides and always plenty of sun loungers. The pools are graduated so was ideal with younger children. Inflatables are allowed. The water slides were brilliant, and although there are height restrictions, as long as your child can swim or with an adult it’s fine. There was usually lifeguards on duty too.
Mini Club - excellent!! The staff there were amazing with the kids, they loved them. Great range of activities suitable for the age range. Special mention to Yasmin and Yami who were just fabulous!
Entertainment - we really enjoyed the evening entertainment, started with the kids disco which the kids enjoyed, then a different show each night. All professional ranging from dance groups (all different genres or themed) , acrobats, magicians. Following this there is always a DJ / live band outside at the bar area. All of the Entertainment team were ‘Super’ , really friendly and approachable. They offer different activities throughout the day like darts, water polo, archery and football.
Bars/ drinks - extensive cocktail and drinks menu available, can pretty much get anything you want and a lot of premium alcohol brands included. There’s a bar on either side of the hotel as well as the sunset bar which is open from 6pm and great views of the beach and sunset. All of the bar staff were friendly and great at making cocktails, even different ones from the menu!
Food- main buffet restaurant was great, always a large variety to choose from and they did themed nights - Turkish, Italian, International, Asian etc. large salad and dessert bars, good choices of meat / fish etc.
I loved that they had a kids buffet table, so the kids could help themselves, this was a little ‘samey’ but was fine for my fussy eaters. But kids can have whatever they want from the wider buffet.
We ate at the Olea Kitchen for lunch a few days, no need to book and was great, food like; club sandwich, toastie, burger, pizza, kebabs. Was great for a restaurant lunch. We also ate there for dinner and at the Fely both À la carte, that you need to book in the morning via WhatsApp (you get the QR code when you arrive). We had no issue booking these at 9am.
The pool bar does sandwiches, fruit and waffles which were a hit for us too!
The beach bar has a great menu too, similar to Olea Kitchen, it was lovely for a change.
The bar is 24 hour, as is the buffet where you can get a smaller selection of food in the evening.
Beach was accessible by regular courtesy bus from hotel but can walk it, would take about 10-15 mins. The hotel has their own section of the beach and bar / restaurant there with loads of loungers.
In the mall downstairs there is a supermarket, clothes / shoe/ souvenir shop, photographer, games room, spa, hairdressers / beauty / barbers.
Supermarket was good for snacks, some people said more expensive than the shops out of the hotel but they are a good 10 min walk away.
We got professional photographs done and they were excellent, can’t remember his name but he was so great with the kids so special mention to him!
The hotel is ‘cash less’ so you get a charge card for supermarket, games room but the other shops, spa, photographer you pay direct either with card or cash. You settle charge card at check out.
Take cash with you - Lira or Euros, for staff tips but also if you are going into Side to buy anything as they don’t really like card payment. All cash machines charge at least 10% to withdraw money and the closest one is about 10/15 min walk away.
If you want to go to Side / Old Town a taxi is 10 Euro and right outside the hotel.
All in all a fantastic hotel, and would highly recommend! Thank you to the lovely staff who made an enjoyable experience!"
