"All inclusive - incredibly generous all inclusive with an abundance of food and drink everywhere you go at all times! Smoothie bar called passion where you can get smoothie, milkshake or slushies. The kids loved this and adults can add alcohol so it’s like making your own cocktail. There was also a freezer full of ice creams in there.
Coffee shop was great we loved the iced caramel lattes. Can get very busy when it opens at 10am, often had a long queue. would be great if it could open earlier.
Highlight for us was the beach bar, serving delicious Turkish food. We had chicken and beef donner kebabs in pitta, wraps, with rice, salad etc. Only criticism there would be to have some of the lovely yogurt sauces and olives available! In the end we were going to the main restaurant to get a plate of olives and sauce and taking it to the beach bar to have with the beef pitta! There’s also another beach bar on the pier in the sea.
Pool bar, patisserie, bistro bar, lobby bar - so many options.
The main restaurant had a very large variety of lovely food, the salad was delicious and fresh. We loved Turkish night, there was several themed nights like Mexican, Italian, fish, Turkish. We were there 11 nights and it did get slightly repetitive. It did get quite busy as you expect in August but they were very quick to refill and ques moved quite quickly. It’s very large so well set up to accommodate large numbers of people and we always got a table easily. Generally never felt too crowded even thought it was very busy.
You get 1 free à la carte booking per stay, we chose the Italian and it was lovely. If you want to make another booking it’s 20 euros per adult, kids go free. They get booked up so book as soon as you arrive.
Service - on the whole was pretty good. Some staff were very lovely. Some were friendlier than others. Occasional issues with language barrier which sometimes made it hard to order and we would end up with something different to what we expected.
Rooms - lovely & spacious. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels. We booked a side sea view, when we arrived it was not available we were offered a garden view for 1 night then an upgrade to a full sea view the next day. The view was lovely! Two balconies overlooking the sea.
Shower was really powerful. Beds comfy.
Only complaint for the rooms is that the duvet was too small for the bed, it was like having a standard double duvet on a super king bed.
When we first arrived I was a bit worried as the carpet in the halls was pretty old and shabby and looked quite dated but the rooms are nice bright and airy. Some areas look like they could do with some maintenance but on the whole the grounds are well cared for.
Pool - lovely big pool with loads of beds. If you do want to sit in a certain area you should probably get to the pool around 8am as people do reserve beds.
Life guards are great, lots of them and they keep a close watch on the slides which were great fun. We noted a sharp screw on one of the pool ladders to the life guard and he had it dealt with and fixed immediately.
Beach - located on a lovely beach, clear warm water with a beach bar floating out at sea where you can jump into the ocean.
Entertainment - the entertainment team were lovely, we enjoyed the games around the pool, the inflatable obstacle course competitions and water polo. We loved family festival night on the Fridays, the kids absolutely loved this. Loads of games, football games, bouncy castle etc.
There was a different show every night, the dance shows were a bit repetitive and samey. The acrobats on the bikes/scooters/rollerskates were great!
Location / general - this was our first time in Turkey and we took lira without realising everything would be in euros. Lira is accepted but we got the impression it is not wanted. It made it quite confusing to keep converting the currency and we were often given a poor rate. A short taxi ride for 10 euros gets you into Side old town which is stunning and I loved seeing the ruins throughout the town. We also went to Manavgat bazaar which was 12 euros in a taxi. Again all prices are in euros, you can haggle but I wouldn’t say it was cheap. In fact, overall we found Turkey to be quite expensive. The water sports on the beach was more expensive than any I have seen in Greece or Spain. The hotel spa was also very pricey. I did find it slightly annoying that they keep coming round the pool to sell you spa treatments, kids tshirts, tattoos or photoshoot packages, I would have preferred that they just give you a price list in the room.
Overall we had a brilliant holiday and I’d recommend this hotel."
