"I travel regularly to Belek with a group of women and sometimes mixed group of golfers was a regular at the Gloria Verde for nearly 10 years, often visiting twice a year. However, unfortunately had not managed to book since 2023 as somehow this resort became too popular and busy. Have tried various other resorts in Belek before finding this one and during last two years too.
Whilst me and my group have always found the “Verde experience” as the best of the lot, this last visit of ours far far surpassed our previous —- the resort has improved in lots of different little areas, the main being the food!! The Mythos main restaurant excels now to a different level; the a’laCarte Basilica (French cuisine) is stunningly one of its kind and has improved in the choices it offers and is amazing; the Italian La Formosa is extremely good and was a new addition since our last visit and both these have a supplement chargeable but are well worth the experience
We have always loved the hot live grill outside on the terrace at dinner in the main restaurant and the different themed nights so you have such a variety of food that is never boring. Being a small resort you have a smaller restaurant which means everything is easily available and in reach in the buffet and live stations unlike those huge halls of buffets in other resorts where food is in great big arrays that you just don’t fancy dipping into as it all looks like display food that’s been there too long…
Loved the Neptune bar and often had a snack lunch there
The staff who are an absolute credit to the Gloria group are as efficient and friendly as always have been, ever ready to go the extra mile and make you feel at ease; a special shout goes to Bilal Yavuz who provided brilliantly efficient and friendly service in the restaurants; Parastoo in guest relations who was amazing helpful and suggested & arranged physio treatments & transfers for two of my group who unfortunately needed help and always came back to check on them; Oza at the bar who made the best Amaretto Sours that we have managed to get in any of the resorts as probably not that popular - well done Oza; and finally but not the least, Elif and her team at the reservations and front desk — you and your team are legends now with how well you meet and greet your guests and continue this throughout their stay. English is spoken much more widely amongst the staff in the Gloria resorts cw any of the other Belek resorts! It was lovely to see many many familiar faces amongst the staff at the resort and this retention that Gloria manage is something else that points to great management and favourable conditions for the staff so they are all happy & content and this shows through in their work — a real credit to the resort
The accommodation is good, with comfortable and clean rooms which are cleaned daily. Good range of toiletries on dispensers and replaced when needed. Tea and coffee making facilities with a mini fridge bar which is all inclusive. We were in the main block.
My only concern with the accommodation is that temperature control is not easy as when we were there it was considered to be winter still and could not get the air conditioning to work effectively at all as it is centrally controlled; advised to open balcony doors at night but it then gets noisy if you are a light sleeper like me plus this year there were plenty of insect bites to be suffered — and hence keeping door open was not an option for me!
Additionally we were disappointed that due to a technical issue the Thalassotherapy Jacuzzi was closed this trip and as this has always been one of our favourites it was really disappointing but I suppose could not be helped
All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful reunion with the Verde after a long time and can’t wait to get back again as will not ever look elsewhere unless we can’t get a booking here — it is the absolute best!!!"
