"We came here for a short 5 night stay to get away from home life, price and hotel pictures were attractive, having been to Turkey last year, we were hopeful.
Initial contact when we touched down in was positive, as always this depends on the airline (Jet2, Bloody fantastic!). Bus driver was fab and the transfer was easy, no issues at all, bit of a treck to the hotel but that's by the by.
upon arrival at the hotel we were impressed, stunning pictures and picturesque views, quite a lobby, very clean and shiny and you can tell they take their jobs seriously, security on the front gate with gate controlled access so you know safety is a priority also. Staff at reception were so polite and welcoming, the chap who took us to our room was polite and carried all of our cases without hesitation, showed us round the hotel and even gave us a sheet with all meals, bar and snack times on it, we arrived quite late so we missed dinner, but there is a snack bar that runs for one hour from 23:30pm to 00:30am, very impressed with that.
The room, the view from the room was not so good and there was a very loud fan outside which spiled the tranquillity a bit, but hey, that's just one of those things, the room was spacious, clean and tidy, massive beds and lots of storage. The bathroom was big, clean and a lovely shower, unfortunately it was covered in ants and they got everywhere, we called down and they came up straight away and sorted it, and then a bit later he came and asked if the problem had resolved completely of his own back which is fab, the ant problem did continue on for the duration of our stay but we will come back to that later. (Fridge stocked daily with water and there is a kettle)!
The food was to die for! absolutely delicious, louds of choice at all three meal times, so much flavour, massive choice of drinks from juice, tea, coffee, beer, fizzy drinks, again the restaurant is massive, so clean, waiters all over the place clearing tables within a flash, very chatty and again friendly, always smiling and cracking jokes. Now a bad point, I know this cannot be helped by the hotel, but I have honestly never been in a place where other guests are so rude and ignorant, pushing in, staring at you like your trash, shoving past you etc....it was so frustrating and a daily occurrence, I am not sure what there issue was but I will be honest, we found it hard to find an English voice, it was loaded with massive ethnic minority, now I am not stereotyping but the majority of the rude people were were not English!
The hotel is bloody huge! Pools at either end of the complex, the pool at the end as you turn right out of reception was large, nice, relaxing, had a pool bar, toilets and a snack bar with burgers, pizza, salad and ice creams, there was also shops, clothes shops and trinkets, big shout to Tony, what a lovely guy and always happy to haggle. The pool at the other end as you turn left out of reception, again large, nice, sun beds everywhere never an issue getting once, two sets of slides, one small for the kids, small slide in the kids pool and then large ones next to it, we loved it, so much fun! Again, poll bar, snack bar, ice creams and shops, so just nice really, again all staff are great and friendly.
The evening entertainment was great, mini disco for the kids, pool bar open until late, massive shout to Moto Moto and Mustafa, fab guys and so nice, fantastic with my daughter, just a super nice atmosphere with the disco.
The major issue we had was the room! It got the third day and the ants had come back in force and got into everything, including shampoo bottles, on top of this new guests had arrived next door with two kids and again of foreign decent, the F****** noise was just mad! The kids were running riot, banging on the walls and doors, parents shouting at them and this was going on from 23:30pm to gone 1 in the morning, I phoned security and they came and had a look but did nothing, I ended going round there myself and bollocked them, honestly the rooms have no sound proof at all, the doors have no soft close mechanism so all you could hear all night was doors slamming and rattling the stuff in your apartment, this needs to be sorted and the guests need to have respect for others seriously, English or not, we should all respect each other! The jet2 rep on site managed to sort it all out and get us another room which was brilliant thank god. Honestly guys, please fly Jet2, they were the only ones who had a rep on site ready to help.
Final outcome - We will not return for the reasons mentioned above, we had a nice stay but we were constantly on edge, and sorry not for us really."
