Holiday Inn Express Ciudad de las Ciencias

"Honest accommodation, motel-style, it does NOT have, as usual, a bidet or even a replacement handheld shower; the shower was difficult to manage, it tended to fall. There is no: - complimentary water; - safe; - closet, represented by a shelf with some hangers. The room was practically just the bed or little more and the bathroom. There is air conditioning and TV. On the plus side, there is the cleanliness, the courtesy of the staff, and the location, a few steps from the City of Science and the aquarium, well served by public transport and in a quiet area. Breakfast doesn't shine for richness either, and the espresso costs extra, though only €1.50; the "thing" that comes out of the machines isn't even close to a coffee. Looking for simple but practical and clean accommodation, it's a good choice."

"Location close to shopping centre. Great service from staff. Good bar and breakfast options were good. The room was basic but clean and tidy. I was visiting for a specific event and hotel was perfectly functional."

"Excellent property, clean and well connected. Ideal for those who do not have too many expectations and are looking for mid-range accommodation. We are still talking about a 3-star hotel, so you find the essentials, nothing more, nothing less. The rooms are not well soundproofed, and you will not find a fridge or a safe. Clean bathroom with good shower products, but it does not have a bidet. The beds are very comfortable. They made a bit of a mess with the reservation because we had asked for two single beds and we ended up with a single double bed. Fortunately there was a comfortable sofa bed and they found us an alternative for the following nights. The staff really made the difference. Friendly, attentive, professional and always available. Breakfast on the other hand remains average, classic continental breakfast. They could have been a bit more daring perhaps by offering something typical."
