"Reception & Check-in:
Reception staff were very nice and helpful, but we weren’t given much information about the resort layout on arrival. A clearer introduction or better signage would be helpful — we didn’t discover the spa pool until the day we were leaving!
Accommodation:
Our apartment was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It was well equipped with everything you could need — a hairdryer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and plenty of cutlery and crockery for the number of guests. The kitchen included a starter pack with coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar, as well as washing-up liquid, a bottle opener, and a corkscrew.
The air conditioning worked extremely well, with separate units in the bedroom and living area. The bathroom was lovely with great water pressure and convenient dispensers for body/hair wash, soap, and moisturiser.
The balcony was large and nicely furnished with comfortable chairs, a table, and a drying rack for clothes. The only drawback is that each apartment’s AC unit vents hot air onto the balcony, which can make sitting outside a little uncomfortable when the air conditioning is running, and the fan was noisy.
Resort Layout & Facilities:
The resort is spread across several interconnected buildings on different levels, set on a fairly steep slope. For example, we stayed on level 7, and to reach the pool on level 1 we had to change buildings and floors. Reception is on level 4. Accessibility is possible via lifts and ramps, but navigation can be tricky due to limited / poor signage.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean, with fantastic housekeeping. There are two campo bocce courts, table tennis, and other outdoor games, though many are tucked away in small courtyards and not easy to find.
The main pool area was busy with children, even in early November (outside of school holidays). The pool had to close twice during our stay due to hygiene incidents — this seems to happen fairly regularly. There’s no adults-only pool, which is a pity, but there is a large Jacuzzi/spa pool beside the baby pool that’s shallow, shaded, and pleasant for relaxing.
There’s also plenty of daytime entertainment such as aqua aerobics, bingo, and paella-making. The staff were friendly and not at all pushy about joining in. Evening entertainment can be loud if your apartment faces the bar area, but it always finishes promptly at 11 p.m.
Local Area & Dining:
No information was provided on nearby restaurants, but if you exit the back door towards the beach and turn right, you’ll find a lively strip with plenty of dining options. Out of the three we tried, the Japanese/Thai/Asian restaurant Sakura was our favourite — delicious food at about €25 per person for a main, starter or dessert, and a drink. We also found the Restaurante Atlantico Sur good.
A full Irish breakfast in nearby cafés cost around €5 without a drink. Across the road to the left of the hotel is an Irish (used primarily by English) pub/restaurant Wild Geese — very cheap but not particularly clean or inviting. Next door is a supermarket open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., which sells everything you might need if you’re self-catering.
Beach:
The small beach directly behind the hotel is absolutely stunning, though access is a bit tricky — it’s rocky and slightly steep. The best time to swim is about an hour before high tide, when the water is calmest. Be cautious of strong currents and avoid the rocks unless you’re a confident swimmer. You will need good water shoes.
This beach isn’t suitable for children or anyone with mobility difficulties, and the next accessible beach is about a 25–30 minute walk away. The seawater was 24.5°C in November, and swimming was absolutely beautiful.
Suggestions for Management:
Improve signage around the resort — it’s easy to get lost.
Provide local restaurant and facilities information at check-in.
Consider an adults-only pool or a section of the mail pool for guests without children.
Final Thoughts:
A fabulous, clean, and well-run resort with great facilities, comfortable apartments, and friendly staff. Despite some minor layout and information issues, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return."
