Royal Hideaway Corales Suites

"This was our 3rd visit to this hotel but previous stays were in the adult only part of the hotel. We really wanted to stay in a one bedroom villa with a private pool and while villa 1112 itself was lovely, the outside patio area with pool was disappointing. It has a clear glass enclosure but with a pathway running to the side of it, which leads to the Children’s Club and is a short cut to the town of La Caleta. It feels very exposed and people walking along have a clear view of you on sun loungers or in the pool. Opaque glass or planting of foliage to screen the area would make the stay much more enjoyable. We did speak to hotel reception about our disappointment and were offered a room change but as we were only staying a week and had already unpacked, we declined. However, we would recommend that anyone being allocated this room, should check they are happy with its position before accepting the room and unpacking. The hotel staff are lovely, the breakfast buffet is extensive and the waiters/waitresses/managers are exceptional. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Sadly, I think this disappointing experience means we will not be booking to stay at this hotel again but luckily there are many other excellent hotels in the vicinity to choose from."

"Stayed for a week with husband and teen in a 2 bed duplex with pool. The hotel is very close to the airport, 20 mins. Entrance is stunning really beautiful with reception, in a cave. Welcome glass of Cham rather than cava a nice touch. We booked late and wanted 2 bedrooms so the duplex was our only choice, I think the suite on 1 floor would be better. Pool area was small with 2 loungers and a dining table but no sofas. We had that in the terrace area downstairs off the bedrooms but we never used that space as we wanted to be near our pool with the sea view. It was a waste really. All areas of the hotel were spotless. Rooms have everything you would need, bathrooms are fabulous with gorgeous toiletries. The breakfast was very good with great service. Lunch by the pool was great. We never ate evening meals in the restaurants as the ones in Caleta are gorgeous, plus they are all fine dining which would have been wasted on our teen. Although she enjoyed lobster, sushi, steak etc in some fabulous restaurants see my other views. It wasn’t perfect hence why not a 5. There is no atmosphere around the pool no music etc nor in the evening at the bars it’s pretty dead. 5 star is always expensive in Europe but 17 Euro for a milkshake, 19 euro for an Aperol is ridiculous when they are less than 1/2 that a 5 minute walk away in town. It just felt disproportionate, although did mean we drank less around the pool which is maybe a good thing! We picked up a lilo for 30E in the hotel shop.. they are 9 euro in town etc etc. The gym is great and the coastal walk to Adeje lovely. I’d recommend for R&R"
