"Overall a lovely hotel.
Reception - welcomed by Christian - fab, smiley and bubbly, helpful and caring. Frederika - massively needs some feedback on customer service and attitude. Everything seemed like too much trouble. Short and quick information shared to try and get you away from the desk (when no one was waiting and more information would be helpful). I experienced this at least 3 times with her.
Restaurant - I’m vegetarian and sadly unless salads are your main choice (or pizza) then there’s very little ‘protein’. It would pay the hotel to ask a veggie to help design selections. More cheese (paneer, halloumi, feta) and plain boiled eggs. I asked for the boiled eggs - they were served with smeared tuna?! I do not eat fish. The chef said - I can do salmon…not helpful. Could be language barrier? I was glad I’d booked half board and after a feedback conversation with a kind receptionist - he sorted it so I could switch to lunch in the hotel ( I could live with salad lunch each day) & I ventured out to the many restaurants which happily catered to my needs. Next time I’d go B&B.
Hotel Facilities - excellent exercise with the stairs! Certainly get your steps in!
The big pool suited me, I like to swim lengths and it is a huge benefit when a nice pool is in place. Sun beds - worked well via the app. Spa - I paid the €20 for 2 hours but felt a bit ripped off - you just get access to a sauna, steam room, the 3 jet places in the slim outdoor pool and that’s it. If it’d been €10 that would have been a fairer ROI. Activity hosts - I joined the pool Zumba and both the female teachers were full of energy ( the one had to keep going and pressing play for every song as the sound system was broken- needs a quick sort). The man was woeful, he clearly didn’t enjoy the aqua gym and did less than 15 minutes!! Lots of people moaned about that!
Cleanliness - overall the hotel was kept clean. My room was not always refreshed to standard - though the sign “room cleaned” was always placed on the bed! (I think they’d hope I’d be fooled). My balcony was not cleaned the whole week - I know this as there was a dead cockroach (the only one I saw to be fair) on the balcony all week!
I would stay again but I would make it on my terms.
My tip would also be to head to Pink Lady spa for a massage - the guy there is very professional and it was such a great massage I returned again! The massage was back neck and shoulder, 30 mins for €25. Cheaper than the hotel and less than 3 minute walk on the road out the hotel turn left, cross the crossing and go straight ahead."
