Globales Binimar

"Accomodation - We travelled to Globales Binimar with Jet2 for a week from 15th - 22nd September. We stayed in room 396 which is a room with a sea view. There was a seperate bedroom with a huge bed, wardrobe space and two bedside cabinets. There is one plug on one side of the bed. There is another plug at the end of the bed. The bathroom has a shower in the bath, sink, toilet and bidet. There is also a hairdryrer. (The drains really smell at night. We had to keep the bathroom door closed all night as the smell would wake us up) The living/kitchen area is pacious. There is a sofa bed, table and chairs. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, hot plate and all the utenils you would need if you wanted to make any food. We didn't do any cooking. The cups are really small so if you like a large drink, taking your own reusuable cups for hot and cold drinks is a good shout. Housekeeping is Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Although, if you need clean towels you can ask at any time. Food - Main restarant open 8am - 10pm. I am quite a fussy eater and I don't eat meat. My fiance found the food nice but everything is luke warm. There are microwaves in the main restaurant and the smaller restaurant in the basement. We just heated everything up which made a huge difference. One thing to mention, if you like your tea/coffeee. Only use bottled water to boil in the kettle. The water has a salty tang due to saltwater intrusion into the ground water. The tea/coffee machine in the restaurant is only available at breakfast. You can get tea/coffee at the snack bar but this is half a cup so again, well worth taking your own cup. There is pizza, chips, nuggets etc every day for lunch and dinner. There was usually a meat dish, some kind of fish and lasagne. There is a small vegitarian section. There isn't much choice and generally if you don't eat meat there are no alternatives. For example, when they had hotdogs/ burgers one evening, there was no meat free option. Facilities - There are 3 swimming pools. Open from 10am. One kids, one large family pool and a quiter pool up the far end. We stayed at the quieter pool and this suited us. Tokens - You will be given tokens when you check in. You need these for your cold drinks (Not Tea/Coffee) It actually works really well and it means there aren't cups everywhere. Shop - There is one supermaket and this turned out to be cheaper than the one down the road. They have everything you need and we even bought our gifts in here which they wrapped up really nice. Entertainment - This was the biggest suprise. The entertainment was brilliant. We watched it every night, Great singers, groups and acrobats. There was also childrens entertainment and Bingo everynight. (2E per ticket.) This isn't a massively 'dressy' hotel. Most people just wore shorts or casual dresses at night. Beaches - We went to the nearest cove by the side of the hotel. There are little paths everywhere but if you go out the resort via the rear car park and head over towards the path you'll see a little bar on the beach. Just head down the steps (It's a bit cobly but fine if you don't have any mobility issues) We also went to another cove (Just head to the blue Les Dolphines roundabout, turn right, keep left where the road forks and walk to the end of the road, You'll see the beach sign on the left, just head down the steps and you'll find a beautiful cove, (great for snorkling.) It takes about 10 mins to walk there. Water park - You need to go to reception first and they will print you off a barcode. (Don't lose this, they can only prink one. Take a photo of it) The water park is out the hotel turn right, go to the blue Les Dolphines roundabout, turn left, and the waterpark is abot 100yards down on your right. It takes about 6 mins to walk there. it is small with a few slides for smaller children and 3 big slides for older children and adults. We only went once and spent a couple of hours there. Overall, we had a great holiday. It was relaxing and the weather was great, around 28 degrees every day. We didn't go on any excusions , although they were available. There are mainly English and French holiday makers. The Animation team are hardworking and constantly putting activities on. They tell you everything in Spanish, English and French. The smell of the drains was really off putting for me but I would definately consider returning."

"The rooms were great. Fridge, cooker, cutlery crockery, balcony and hair dryer included. Pools were great and well maintained. The grounds are fabulous and like a little village. The staff are so friendly. Entertainment was great. Food was fantastic even for fussy eaters. Never went hungry as breakfast lunch and dinner was on for hours at a time and buffet from 11-6 daily. Location was great and views were unreal! Beach was amazing. Plenty of shops restaurants and Jimmy Hills around the corner had tributes acts and a nightclub. We also had free access to the water park about 5 minute walk away. Small but kids enjoyed it for hours."

"Not a fan of all inclusive, but got a fair price from Jet2. Stayed in the hotel about 20 years ago with my kids but can't recollect much. Arrived early, reception were helpful and friendly and as expected our room was not ready however we were given our wrist bands to start our holiday, we didn't have to wait long for the room. The room reminded me of our stay years before, but looked modern and clean with the added bonus of air con, We had no major issues with the room, beds were comfortable and had no issues sleeping, our only gripe was the angle of the shower, it sprayed above my wifes head with no way of changing the angle and flooded the bathroom on a couple of occasions and eventually had to take it off the hook to spray yourself to prevent the flooding. What surprised us was the range and quality of food, with a theme night every night. Breakfast had everything from continental to full English with fresh fruit available. Lunch had a variety of hot food and a fantastic salad bar with freshly cooked pizzas and fresh griddled meat and fish. Dinner was the same as lunch but the food was not reconstituted from lunch. There was wine and soft drinks available although hot drinks were only available from the restaurant at breakfast. There was a menu for all inclusive drinks, you were given a token at check in, which was exchanged at the bars for a drink from a re-usable half pint plastic cup, you had to hand in the used glass to get another drink, although I did see people who had multiple cups at any time. The beer was san miguel with Mahou '0' available, the spirits were local and the alcohol volume was lower then branded , although this was not a major issue. There were a limited amount of cocktails included. There was a snack bar which opened during 11:00-18:00, we found the food to be deep fried and cold in there, which was a slight disappointment, Entertainment was ok, but generally didn't hang around to watch it in the evening. There are 3 pools , we had no problems getting a sunbed , and mainly used the quiet pool. The big attraction was the sunsets, with the resort being on the east coast, you could witness the sunsets from the back of the hotel, with people coming from all around to witness the view. Would I go back?, probably not, but needless to say a good holiday"
