"From the moment we arrived, check-in was smooth and efficient, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. Our room was spotless, modern, and comfortably on the higher end of 4 stars—spacious, well-furnished, and clearly well maintained. The grounds were immaculate too; staff were constantly tidying and collecting cups throughout the day, which kept everything looking fresh.
Food was a real highlight. Breakfast was outstanding—the best buffet I’ve seen at a 4-star all-inclusive. Whether you want fresh fruit, cereals, cold cuts, a full cooked breakfast, or waffles and pancakes with chocolate spread for the kids, it’s all there and well presented. Lunch and dinner buffets offered a wide and varied selection daily, with reliable options like pasta and pizza for picky eaters alongside a dedicated children’s buffet (think chicken nuggets, fish bites, etc.). The restaurant itself is lovely and modern, with proper tables, chairs, and booths—nothing “canteen” about it. Service was excellent: lots of staff, very attentive, and plates whisked away promptly. Drinks are help-yourself, including bottled wine, draft beer, and soft drinks. We also loved being able to order from the à la carte menu for lunch by the pool.
The pool area was spacious, the pools warm and well cared for, and there were plenty of sunbeds, no sunbed wars here! Pool towels are included. The floating water “trampoline” was a huge hit with my 8-year-old, while the pirate splash area seemed best for younger children. There were daily water activities that kept everyone engaged.
Entertainment was superb. The team were brilliant and deserve real credit—special mention to Mio (apologies if misspelled), who worked both in entertainment and the kids club. My 8-year-old adored him and actually cried on her last club day because she’d had such a great time. Kids club activities were varied and creative—clay making, bracelet/bead crafts, painting, T‑shirt decorating, and plenty of games. Afternoons brought medal games and water fun, including the water mat. I’d worried she might be a bit old this year, but she absolutely loved it.
Evenings were among the best we’ve experienced at an all-inclusive. The mini disco was excellent, followed by kids’ Kahoot and then a show. We loved the thoughtful touch of small chairs set out at the front for the children. The bouncy castle and dedicated kids’ area in the evening venue were also a huge success and kept our daughter happily entertained all night. For the grown-ups, cocktails were properly made (not pre-mixed), and gin came in proper gin glasses—little details that really elevate the experience.
Location-wise, it’s about a 10-minute walk to a lovely harbour with plenty of restaurants and cocktail bars, and around 5 minutes to a large supermarket (handy if you’re self-catering). Our private taxi to the hotel took roughly 50 minutes, and the coach transfer back was about 1 hour 10 minutes.
Having stayed at the Hotel Royal Son Bou in May, which is well regarded, I can honestly say Zafiro Menorca is superior in every aspect. It was a pleasure to stay here, and we’ll be returning next year. Wholeheartedly recommended for families looking for quality, comfort, and genuinely thoughtful service."
