"Arrived home after a GREAT WEEK!! Please don’t be put off by the bad reviews I guess everyone is different. I travelled with my two teenage sons we stayed all inclusive and stayed in a one bedroom junior suite. As we booked with jet2 we also had wristbands included for the water park which was a god send as the boys went over there for their snacks each day!! FOOD/DRINKS. Food is served constantly I think there’s one hour between 6-7pm where no food is available but the rest of the day between meals etc there’s plenty of snacks Included in the all inclusive are slushes which my boys loved and I had a couple with vodka in too 😘☀️ No cocktails included in the AI BUT it’s easy to make you’re own, for example sangria I poured myself a red wine, then a sprite and a Fanta mixed them together 😘 and a slice of orange from the fruit/salad section in the restaurant! The food was ok, it depends what you like, there is plenty of choice!!! Cedar salad, pastry’s, cold meat and cheese, salads, veg rice, fish and lasagne were my go to meals, my sons loved the pasta, chips, nuggets, burgers, breakfasts, pancakes and the desserts!! The chocolate fountain and marshmellows were a huge hit!! ACCOMODATION As mentioned above we were in a junior suite with one bedroom which had two single beds pushed together, my two sons stayed in there. In the lounge area there was a sofa and an extra bed so I slept on that, now when we arrived the single bed was blocking the fridge so I moved it all about placing the sofa infront of the wardrobes with enough space for me to walk behind them, it worked well for me x The bathroom was old and dated, there were stains and marks all over in the bath on the floor and walls, plus some rust in places, no lock on the door, BUT it was ok, the shower worked, the toilet and sink worked and that’s all that mattered to us because at the end of the day we don’t go on holiday and stay in the bathroom! They don’t supply plugs, I presume to avoid flooding (I’ve been away to Corfu and it was the same there) The air con was amazing!!! It was set to 18degrees and on when we arrived in our room, we kept it on all day everyday, I turned it off during the night as I became too cold, it was only in the main lounge area of our apartment though and it in the bedroom BUT leaving the bedroom doors open it cooled the whole apartment perfectly!! ENTERTAINMENT AND POOLS/waterpark Our room was in phase 1, so near the restaurant and main entertainment, there is a pool there but we didn’t use that one, we used the pool which is behind the main reception in phase 2, for us that was the best pool. Music ALL day, little bar, deep pool and separate shallow area for smaller children, plenty of sun beds and the best entertainment team Our animation team were with star3, Graham, Morgan, Shannon and Gloria were incredible!! My sons joined in every activity going and danced every night with the club dances on stage, they loved the water polo, darts, ping pong too!! For us the entertainment team made the holiday!!! The waterpark is dated in places but we have no complaints, good variety of slides for all ages, the lazy river was very lazy and hard to get round but it was relaxing (unless you have a 14 and 17 year old who think it’s hillarious to spin you all the way round 🤦🏼‍♀️) In phase 3, there is a different animation team (Bravo) they’re Italian and they also have set days where they come over to the main stage for the evening entertainment BUT there’s also a large pool there to access which we did on the FOAM PARTY NIGHT that was great fun!! The whole animation team from both pools were there, we had foam, sangria cocktails being served and great music plus an African Acrabatic team performing!! The evening entertainment starts with a mini disco at 830, followed by entertainment at 930 which is usually about 45 minutes long then they do party dances getting kids and guests on the stage to join in, as cheesy as it sounds my sons LOVED it and I enjoyed the shows too, we are gutted we didn’t get to see the MJ one advertised! OUTSIDE AREA There is a supermarket which is a short 5 minute walk, a souvenir shop and a couple of bars and restaurants, that’s quicker to access using the small road which runs inbetween phase 3 and the water park! If you keep following that road down, it leads you to the beach, don’t walk to the right where the signs are though, there’s a small pathway down directly to the beach which does require good mobility but it’s ALOT quicker and you pass another supermarket on the way x DON Supermarket there is also a car rental place too There’s a bus stop and a taxi rank on the main road, it’s behind the main pool/reception area, the e reception are really good and give out bus timetables which were spot on, we got the bus to Mahón and went to the Sunday market, it costs €2.75 each way per person, it’s a reasonable sized market then we looked around the shops and town centre and caught the bus back, some of the main shops and market close around 2pm. The beach is nice, it is very busy and there are a few bars and restaurants above it, we tried to hire a pedlo with a slide but the guy told us we have to go at 10am each day and book one, you cannot book the day before so be prepared to spend the day on the beach waiting for a pedlo because there are several hotels on the beach and I imagine the guests go early to book!! Whilst we were on holiday we needed to access the medical centre, it is private but it’s about a 20 minute walk from the hotel, the pharmacy is a further 5/10 minute walk BUT next door is the Irish bar which was a welcome stop before our walk back, there are also more souvenir shops along the way next to bar 51! We went for a typical family holiday made the most of the all inclusive, we enjoyed the entertainment and team and it ticked the boxes for us There isn’t a lot more to do in the area though so be prepared to travel via bus or taxi if you want to explore, Conclusion Overall we had a great time, would we return? Possibly no purely because we’ve seen the area and cannot guarantee the entertainment team will be there again next year, plus we like to explore different places/countries etc Are we happy with our choice?? ABSOLUTELY!! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with kids but it is worth paying the all inclusive as there’s no way I’d have spent any less self catering!!"

"First time visit to Menorca and this hotel. I wanted to write an honest review that perhaps includes more information than you get from the hotel/ tour operator. Starting with the positives We found Menorca and this resort to be beautiful, calm and quiet, allowing a chilled and relaxing vibe to the holiday Transfer only 25 minutes to airport The hotel complex was nicely spread out and included a range of pools. The biggest pool included music and entertainment during the day, the second pool was much quieter and our preferred place to go. At times we had the pool to ourselves No sunbed wars at all- when moving from place to place we always found suitable sunbeds in peak season which was great The water park was fantastic- having researched the most about this prior to our visit it was as we expected. A range of rides suitable for our boys aged 8 and 12. I really enjoyed the lazy river. During our stay this was moderately busy and even at its busiest there were minimal queues. Pool shoes were definitely helpful The room we stayed in was fairly modernised, with loads of cupboard/ wardrobe space. It was also located near the restaurant and away from the evening entertainment so noise was not an issue The food was generally good. For an all inclusive 3 star it was as I expected. Breakfast was our preferred meal of the day but we all managed to eat well despite a fussy eater in our group. We tended to eat at the water park at lunchtime and only used the restaurant a couple of times at lunchtime but the salads and fruit variety was great every time In the evenings we often sat on the balcony outside of the reception block where again we often had the area to ourselves including our own pool table. This really surprised us during peak season. We didn’t watch the evening entertainment so cannot comment upon this We ate out at a place called backgammon where the food and service was really good, we would recommend this place Now the negative stuff All inclusive- we had booked with jet2 but didn’t get the correct AI bands until day 3 after meeting with our rep. The food and drinks at the waterpark are only included with jet 2 however not all food was included even after this. You still had to pay for pizza, and other foods except hotdogs, burger, nuggets and chips All inclusive- this is the first holiday AI where we have had to pay for ice cream. We were totally unprepared for this and shocked. Having questioned this with the jet2 rep we had a poor response. On the website it doesn’t say ice cream is included; however on the website neither does it say it is not included. There was no alternative offered either. The only ice cream included was the horrible Mr whippy style in the restaurant at dinner- we tried this once and never again after. The choice of ice cream to pay for was great and left with no choice as a family who enjoy ice cream on a holiday we indulged. However I will certainly be checking on any future bookings with jet2 to clarify in writing prior to booking in future to any AI as there response about AI in hotels can vary was really disappointing All inclusive-drinks. No sangria included in the AI , again we assumed staying on a Spanish island and having stayed in many other Spanish AI hotels this would be included it was not. Neither were any cocktails. As a family we don’t drink alcohol much so this again wasn’t a massive issue for us but again this was not clearly communicated anywhere prior to booking or after or at the hotel The hotel complex- generally needs a good spruce up. I get the impression we were lucky with our room and its pot luck. We stayed in a junior suite with literally a fridge. Other people we spoke to had a whole kitchen and dining space in their junior suite. Our air conditioning worked nicely except 2 nights it stopped working. After persisting to complain every 3 hours this eventually was fixed after the 4 th time . We got the impression that reception staff were good at saying things will be sorted but the site team not necessarily responding or some sort of communication issues often resulting in things being lost in translation or forgotten about Lockers- on arrival being charged for lockers to keep your belongings in as rooms are not ready until approximately 3.30pm. Another novelty of this hotel, all previous hotels usually have a locked room to store belongings without a charge The restaurant- the food was good however the dining experience had 3 main issues. The noise was a massive issue, even when not too busy at the start of dining periods it was still really noisy inside. However going outside was a bigger issue as you are immediately set upon by wasps. Wasps that are persistent and cause young children to want to leave immediately. There were no measures taken to reduce wasps that other hotels/ restaurants have used that we have stayed at. Staying inside particularly at dinner was an issue due to the heat and humidity. The air conditioning in the restaurant was poor if at all and therefore we started to eat out towards the end of our holiday The beach was further than we thought ( and advertised) so other than one evening we did not go as it was too hot we preferred to stay near the water park and pools with easy access to to drinks To conclude we had a lovely family holiday, the facilities that the hotel offered were great for us especially the water park and the pools. The relaxed, chilled quiet vibe was great for us. The feel of having the place to ourselves at times was great. However if you are looking for somewhere with abit more going on in and around the hotel this place is not for you. As an all inclusive holiday this fell well below our expectations but this is more about lines of communication between the hotel and tour operators aswell as their customers and could easily be improved by simple things such as clear menus that highlight food included/ not included, drinks included not included. On the whole a few simple changes such as include ice cream and all snacks ( milkshakes, pizza etc at the water park) sangria in the AI and improve the air conditioning in the water park and we would return again. However without these changes we would not"

"Not the best, not the worst The WiFi is absolutely terrible- all of my phone data has ran out because I had to use my data as it worked better than the WiFi The air conditioning does not work in our room and the restaurant The star3 entertainment team only speak Spanish ( which is fine but It would have been better for them to translate in English too) and the music they play in the main pool behind the reception is horrendous, so annoying… they only play Justin Bieber and Spanish music But the waterpark is good and the other 2 pools are good.. the BRAVO entertainment team play good music unlike star3"
