"My husband and I had an amazing time. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable.
The food delicious and plentiful. The gentleman who cooked the fresh chicken said hello to me every evening and tempered my name even with hundreds of people served daily. I felt the trainee staff at the pool bar where told off a lot and I found myself telling the main chefs to leave them alone. Just because my omelette looked like scrambled egg did not bother me in the slightest. I found in the restaurant, if you are a regular visitor you get better treatment. I loved the fresh food throughout the day and the pizzas were delicious.
Entertainment team fab but there where a couple that really stood out for me. I can't remember everyone's name but oussama, speed(ottman), salowa, ayobe and Mario where exceptional, there was also a older gentleman who ran a lot of the quizzes who had us in fits of laughter. There where a couple I didn't see much and rarely interacted.
Activities through the day where good but they did get super busy going into half term and some of the guests where just rude and obnoxious. It was nice you could get rackets and ping ball bats. It was frustrating that there was only one table available though.
I found one of the dancers (Hannah) to be approachable but the rest where rude and chose to ignore greetings and when they took over the activities they where stiff and dry. The shows where the same theme and once you've seen one, you've seen them all.
There was the odd quizz on a night which was fun and the singer for the downstairs bar was incredible. He is really talented! Now and again they put on karaoke but that entertainment space could be utilised more.
Bar staff, wonderful especially the men on the down stairs bar and pool bar. There was one young man who popped our champagne for us and usef on the pool bar who madey husband feel like a king. There where plenty of drinks and I loved i could just get a cup of coffee.
I found the downstairs bar where the entertainment was not to good. The most xers where flat and you had to walk up the stairs to get a proper decent drink. I also found out later on one the savings they had sangria as a cocktail of the day.. this had not been advertised properly and I missed out. Not much seating and it gets busy quickly. The whole area just needed to be sorted out better or the use of the bar in the show room needed utilised.
The reception staff where helpful but again there was one who stood out for me. Sara was the most beautiful person I have ever met. She was genuine, kind, approachable and nothing was too much for her.
I didn't like the people coming down and claiming beds and I think the comfy ones should have to be booked in time slots so people can get on one. I was here for a week and they where always covered with towels by the time we got there and was exceptionally frustrating when it was our last day. We had to vacate at 11 and wait until 18.40 for our transfer. We where exhausted as there was no where to rest. We had to hand our towel cards in and had no options but to sit with no towels for the day.
Beach was accessible and clean and the security where friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious and clean, the balcony was slightly exposed to others due to the shape but it was okay. No coffee/tea making facilities and the toilet was low flush, this wasn't great. Shower was lovely very and the washing products where a lovely touch.
There wasn't much close by and I had to walk for an hour to find a shop. The insight shop had bare minimal and very expensive. But I felt it was safe to walk out and about ony own and there are plenty of taxis around if you want to access shops or activities.
Spa was clean but it was expensive. You could go for a hammam in the town for 80 percent less than you pay in the hotel. The rooms where very very hot and I became quite light headed. But the scrub and massage was lovely. I did find it invasive whent they practically ripped of my bathing suit. I was quite uncomfortable.
Taking out cash - there was a cash machine but it charged you to use it. It was the only way to get cash as our card would not work properly.
It was genuinely one of the best breaks we've had but I'd like to see more kindness from the senior teams.
