"I’m going to start my review with the service at the reception. It was awful. One of the men that works at reception is exceptionally smug and rude. Towards the end of our holiday me and my partner decided to go to reception to request a late checkout, as we had a late flight and was travelling with our 6 month old son and was being picked up by our transfer at 5pm. They said to come to reception on the day we were leaving to see what they could do. I explained to them that not only would it be the best option for our son but I am a Type 1 Diabetic and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my medication in the luggage room and it could be damaged by the pool. His response was “If you care so much you can leave it here at reception.” Bear in mind my medication keeps me alive and to say “If you care so much” is extremely rude. Not to mention that the reception is at the top of the hotel and multiple trips backwards and forwards is not ideal. I also explained that to prepare my son’s bottles we needed a kettle, he said to take the kettle from our room to reception with us when we check out. Our room was one of the most accessible (no stairs) so we assumed a baby would be in our room after us and did not feel comfortable taking it from the room, which is utterly ridiculous anyway. On the day of our departure I once again went to reception to see if we could have a late checkout and they said they were fully booked. Which is fine, but not ideal. In the hour before our coach picked us up I went to reception with my bottle of water (has to be bottled water because it needs to be safe for my baby) and a hydroflask to prepare the boiling water for our way home. Reception sent me on a wild goose chase to the snack bar which isn’t far away just extremely inconvenient timing to see if they could help. They only had a coffee machine and no kettle. I went back to reception because they have to help me somehow, and had a lot of mixed communication until I asked them “Do you drink tea?” and they finally helped me. The kettle they handed me was full of soap, and then just watched us try to rinse it without helping whatsoever. As we were trying to rinse it our transfer arrived early and would not wait for us so we had to leave empty handed.
As for the food, it was okay for us but everyone’s different.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL AS A SINGLE PARENT. There is one lift down to the food hall which members of staff would put a chair in the way of to stop the lift from working. There are lots of stairs that me and my partner needed to carry our pram up and down.
All inclusive is not all inclusive at all, you have to pay for cocktails and expensive spirits like Jack daniels.
The location is good by the marina
The cleanliness was okay, not mind blowing but okay. However we could not use our balcany as it was scattered with bugs everywhere.
The staff are overworked, only one member serving drinks at the evening, then being left to clean up by themselves.
The WIFI was terrible, however
THE ANIMATION TEAM MADE UP FOR IT, they were absolutely incredible. Very entertaining and incredible. They put a good dancing show on and play lots of games during the day, French balls, Football, A little random one in the morning, Water Polo, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Aqua aerobics. If you have active kids I would recommend this hotel because of the amount of activities the animation team offer. They also play bingo in the evenings. They are the only thing about this holiday that I don’t have a bad thing to say about. They were very good with my baby always saying hello and getting him to smile."
