BQ Delfin Azul Hotel

"We spent a week in the BQ Delfin Azul during the October school holidays, we went with our children (19 & 8) and my mother in law (79) . As most reviews state the rooms are on the small side but for the amount of time you actually spend I. It , they were absolutely fine. The hotel is in a good location, an easy 5 min walk to Alcudia Beach which is Beautiful and a 10/15 min walk to the main shops/restaurants at the port. Old town Alcudia is further away about a 30/40 min walk or a quick bus or taxi trip (taxi only cost us 7 euros) and is definitely worth a visit. Staff at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful, from finding my mother in laws lost hat to leaving a bottle of sparkling wine in our room as a surprise on my birthday. The hotel itself is quite small but the pool is great and the splash park fantastic for the younger children, there’s even a small playground . There was never any issues over getting a sunbed either. The restaurant food was excellent quality especially at breakfast, with an omelette station and the usual variety of cereals, meats, cheeses, hot food etc. In the evening dinner had a variety of theme nights with Mexican, oriental, American, fish etc being a few, and the desserts were always abundant. My only niggle here was that my 8 year old is a picky eater and there wasn’t much he would eat on the majority of nights. There was always margherita pizza which he had with chips, potato wedges etc most nights but apart from the America theme night (when there was hamburgers, sausages and macaroni cheese ) there weren’t the usual chicken nuggets, sausages/hotdogs etc. I wasn’t too concerned about this as we were only there a week but may be a concern if you’re staying longer with small/picky children . The evening entertainment was a bit hit or miss for us, like most hotels they have a mini disco followed by a variety act each evening these included flamenco dancers, singers, gymnasts etc, some were fantastic others not so much. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would go again."

"Fantastic holiday.Hotel is in ideal location short walk to such an amazing white sand beach which has a footpath all along the back to take you to the marina.Hotel is pleasant and comfortable plenty of wardrobe space in room.Food I would say is typical buffet style but no complaints.Drinks at hotel I found very reasonable €3 for a glass of Prosecco!!!! There is a great supermarket at the side of hotel which has amazing prices too.At the end of the street there is a Burger King few bars and a nightclub which we did venture to with our 3 teenage sons and had a fantastic time. We also went horse riding which was brilliant €35 each it was an hour trek through the woods. I’m an experienced rider so I got to gallop but the others also enjoyed it who have never rode before Overall one of the best holidays iv had and I have traveled a fair bit Would definitely recommend this hotel"

"I recommend this hotel to family friends, couples and grandparents and children. The breakfast is very nice. The pool is okay the gym there’s a gym there that’s all in with it and the rooms are so clean and tidy."
