Reception are possibly the least friendly reception ive come across. Talk amongst themselves at check in, pointing at things to read or sign. Asked once for a taxi during our stay and they passed us a card and said message them. We did that and the company said it would be a 40 minute wait. Asked if they could ring a local firm for us and they said no we dont do that?? So we used uber. But they were so rude and dismissive.
Marta is worth a special mention for being the rudest! On check out, we forgot our towel token, and she basically dressed us down and said we have caused her a problem and now this is her issue. She slammed down our deposit and waved us away. Many reviews mention her, and we heard a number of folk complaining during our stay too.
Rooms do have adequate air con. Ours was better than our families room, but still very poor. Loud, barely worked and dusty. The rooms are very basic, but has most things youd need. We were 2 adults, so didn't find it cramped but our family were 2 adults and a child and they were very cramped. Beds are really hard, very poor.
Cleaning is very basic. Cups and plates not removed, replaced or cleaned. Floor is quickly wiped over. Bed is made, towels changed but thats it.
Restaurant is hit and miss with food. Sometimes ok, most times really basic and bland. Had to queue to get in most days, air con poor, really hot and small food area with far too many people at once. Awful experience, and made worse by poor food labels. You arent given time to read them anyway by people pushing in. Poor.
Kids pool was enjoyed by 5 year old, though water very murky and didn't look like it was cleaned. Main pool is too small for the number of guests, no room to move and forget relaxing or cooling off, as its like a warm bath.
Sunbeds - unavailable after 9am anywhere. 8am - 8.30am we managed to get a bed but saw dozens of people sitting in the bar because they couldn't get a sun bed. Most of the beds were empty too, just towels laying down.
Location is okay. Not far from a nice beach, and nice enough views in a slightly quieter area.
Entertainment - kids club really poor. Walked in and staff were on their phone and just pointed to a seat. We heard of kids just wandering out to go back to parents, the staff still just sat on their phones. Our 5 year old niece actually asked them to call us because she wanted to leave, after 15 minutes. Poor. Evening kids club is the same 5 songs, same 5 dances. Starts like 8pm and finished by 8.30pm. Entertainment after that is 8.30 to 9.30 then silence.
Bar - never queued for less than 15 minutes for a drink. No self serve and queue was always 15 to 20 people deep. Really poor. Beer luke warm, cocktails weak and too much juice. Poor.
Mosquitoes- wow.
Insane amount of Mosquitoes. The hotel is located between two huge lakes / bogs and mixed with the heat and little wind, its the perfect place for Mosquitoes. Had all the repellent, creams and everything and it made no difference at all. 20 to 30 bites, extremely uncomfortable journey home.
Positives - very few unfortunately. Restaurant staff and bar staff generally quite friendly, elsewhere staff just ok, with exception to the reception who are awful.
Location is ok, kids pool for probably 8 and under is ok, some food is ok, all inclusive ice cream is good. Thats where my realistic 1 star is for.
Could not recommend at all. We paid £450 for 4 nights and id still be disappointed paying half that."
