Villas Coral Deluxe

"The villa sits in a quiet corner of the island which is lovely in the daytime but means someone's driving into town each evening. Playa Blanca is only 10 minutes away and straightforward to reach, but if you don't want to venture that far, there's a supermarket and several restaurants within a short walk across the derelict land beyond the barrier entrance (just note that some close on different nights). If you have older children, activities are fairly thin on the ground. We didn't originally choose this villa but had to decide quickly after a Jet2 change. Our flight landed late and we grabbed a taxi—probably wise given the villa's tricky location, though I'd scoped it on Google Maps beforehand. The drive passes unfinished villas with people living in them, which sets the tone for the area. Denise at Coral Beach sorted a welcome pack and someone came to collect payment a couple of days later (€60—a bit steep for what you get, but not unreasonable after a long journey). The villa itself is homely and has everything you need. There's plenty of storage and seating, so you don't feel crammed. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, though the twin room has a dodgy plug socket and the lamp's missing its bulb—easily fixed by borrowing from elsewhere, but annoying if two people are actually sharing it. The master suite is huge, though the bathroom's a bit damp and fusty with wind whistling through the window even when closed. Note: the mugs are tiny. Bring a decent cup from home. The pool's a decent size but collects dust from the derelict land next door. It wasn't cleaned during our 10-day stay, though someone would've done it if we'd asked I'm sure. The low wall on one side leaves you exposed to the wind (35mph gusts while we were there), which is great when you're roasting but rough when you're in or just out of the water. Plenty of loungers, though bring pegs for your towel. Yes the villa could do with a little bit of TLC and the pool could be cleaned more regularily but we had a lovely stay. I've mentioned the negatives to inform rather than put anyone off."

"We stayed at Yaiza Resience number 6 on Austria Street. In entry everything seemed fine but beds were stained, lights with electrics showing, the voltage box outside with no cover and close to the pool. Rubbish left everywhere and a broken air con unit left with pipes and rubbish behind it. Sunbeds stained and revolting. The beds covered the plugs in the twin rooms which we were unable to use: The location is a bit of a pain but we knew this before booking and taxis were easiest enough. We found the shops near faro park by walking across some waste land and ate at Port of call a few times which was excellent and also flavours for a curry."

"Stayed here for ten days. Just got back to the UK on the 9th of May 2026. On the plus side It's very quiet. It's within walking distance to a small but well stocked supermarket, a few pubs and a number of restaurants. The downstairs toilet did not work on arrival but was repaired within a few hours of reporting it. Kitchen has a small dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and electric oven. There is also a washer and tumble dryer. Pool towels and bath towels are provided. A few toilet rolls, a few shower gel pouches and washing up materials were provided on arrival. NO water or milk was available. There is a half decent safe to use. Easy parking for one car. Gated community with barrier access. Taxi into playa blanca is only 6-7 euros. On the negative side Smells fousty, we needed to clean the ensuite with bleach to reduce the smell. The pool edge is unsafe as there are a number of tiles loose which could cause someone to fall. The living room settee has seen much better days and needs either a deep clean or changing. I've thrown better ones away. The appearance of the building is quite poor and it is in need of a makeover. Sun loungers are very stained. Garden was full of weeds. Varnish on doors is peeling. Outside tiles cracked and grout in a lot of places missing. Close to a very rundown part of town but the people kept themselves to themselves. Didn't see one person come to check or clean the pool in ten days. Would I stay here again. NO, not unless the building had some mtce done to it to bring it back up to standard."
