"The good - location - 2 mins from the beach, easy walk to two harbours. - children had a great time - no parent guilt with the kid club, our 4 and 8 year old girls loved going between 11-12.45 and the entertainment crew put on the mini disco were brilliant with the children. - pool area had no lack of sun beds and lifeguards removed belongings if reserving loungers before 10am which removed the horror races you see at other hotels. - heated pool was great. We went end Oct temp 24-26, the outdoor pool was a a bit cooler than you'd like at times so the heated pool was great on overcast days. - rooms were cleaned everyday, can't fault the housekeeping staff, beds comfortable. - room 2031 - great view of the harbour and Fuerteventura, nice and quiet away from evening entertainment. - the room key being your wrist fob that gets you access to all AI food and drink, very handy, can't leave that in the room. The not so good - the hotel looks a bit tired, not 4*. rickety rails on our balcony, buffet restaurant chairs a bit grim, paint chipping off in places. - toilet flush fell of the wall... brilliant. - the outside area in the hotel buffet restaurant is the best place to eat, away from the noise of the AI 'canteen', but it is not big enough so its pot luck if you get a nice table. Some breakfast, evening meals you either wait or sit inside. The bad - If you like queueing, this is the hotel for you. The pool bar and snack bar - I must have spent hours of my holiday in a line with other disgruntled guests. Simply not enough staff in the hotel. Unsurprisingly, the staff that are there are pretty miserable. There are a few exceptions, but overall, not overly friendly. - The wait for a drink, or for the table to be cleared was unacceptable, we're not impatient people, but the time it takes for the waiting staff to take an order and clean up became a joke. Complete lack of organisation. - The food was adequate but not amazing. Considering you're in a Spanish territory, you'd think paella would be on most evenings, but no, here is lasagne and chips... again! Beware the meat counter, my daughter waited for some chicken and came back to the table, ate some of it before we realised it was still pink in the middle. She spent the next day in bed with said chicken and the contents of her stomach coming out of both ends - again, kudos to housekeeping who were great. Pool lifeguards - the most miserable bunch of men you can come across. Not a word of English, which is fine, it is a Spanish territory, but grunting and pointing at children for seemingly having fun on holiday and expecting them to understand you is asking a bit much. We took some inflatables with us... because that's what you do on holiday, and were told on day 1, inflatables not allowed. It is a massive pool, this is a ridiculous rule and was not always enforced leaving children asking why they can't use there toys in the pool when others are. Overall - we had a good time, and laughed at some of the short comings, but we won't be rushing back."

"9 nights group of 17, family and friends from the UK. Last day today, travelling home tomorrow. A generous 4/5 from me. Location 5/5 - nice and central to everything Food- 2/5 - only used the buffet a few times for breakfast, others in the group tried evening service. It’s like a cattle market. Plates and tables not cleared down, empty stations missing items, having to get your own cutlery, very hit and mainly miss. Evening food really poor in the buffet. Personally, my wife and i and the kids decided its not worth it and ended up eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the seafront. This of course added hundreds to our spend but we kind of expected to do this based on the other reviews. So many beautiful restaurants to choose from so not a big deal for us but if you have not budgeted to eat out then not so great! Pools- 3/5 nice outdoor pool but extremely cold, if you are sensitive to cold water you will struggle. One of my kids couldn’t stay in for long periods whereas the other could manage it better. The indoor heated pool is warm but small and congested with mainly families with babies/toddlers etc Rooms- 4/5, mini bar nothing in it, rooms tidy enough though. Changed over daily. Overall then - Likes- i liked the fact you can grab a sun-bed if you are happy enough to get up early enough to get a good spot and stay with it. Dislikes - food mainly, shortage of staff in buffet, poorly organised. Would i come again? No sorry. Would probably spend a bit more and look at Yaiza Hotel on the front but we have still made sure to have a good time."
