"Hotel Livvo in Puerto de Mogan
I booked this hotel for two weeks in October 2025 as a surprise for my partner’s 60th birthday! After visiting Mogan on a day trip last year, we sat by the beach, and she said it looked so beautiful, so I booked it right away. We were not disappointed—it truly is a magnificent hotel!
The room was just perfect. Great shower, stocked fridge, and one of the most beautiful views from the balcony. We had a beach/pool view, so we had the sun from sunrise until about 2ish, the pool had sun until about 4ish, and the rooftop loungers until sunset, so you could get the sun anytime of the day from somewhere in the hotel.
All board is half-board, so we had breakfast and evening meals. Drinks with your evening meal need to be paid for separately and you can book them to your room if you’re brave enough to not know how much you’re spending. The food was very, very good, with a different theme every night. We stayed for two weeks and never had anything we didn’t enjoy.
The first week was quiet and peaceful, but the second week fell on half term, so a few families arrived, and it got a bit noisier, but nothing excessive.
The staff are pleasant, hard-working, and always friendly and courteous, always doing anything to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. The rooms were kept spotless, and they also do a turn-down service with chocolate, which is a very nice touch. The evenings were quiet, with only a singer on a couple of times a week, and they finish at 10pm. Puerto de Mogan is such a beautiful, tranquil place during the day and evening, but it doesn’t stay open late. The whole resort, including the bars and restaurants along the beach, is closed by 11pm. So, if you’re an all-night party animal on holiday, this might not be the place for you.
I’m not complaining, just sharing my thoughts. Most guests here are in their late middle-aged to elderly years, and it seems like the hotel really caters to them. If you’re a young family, there might not be much to keep the kids entertained. There’s no kids club, no pool fun, and no special kids’ food area. After about 20 minutes in the pool, some kids got a bit restless, and I heard some of the older folks around the pool “tut-tutting.” I even heard a parent shushing her kids in the pool! That’s not ideal, especially since the kids should be having fun. My suggestion would be to check out a hotel with a waterslide and a kids club, so you can still relax by the pool. Like I said, not a complaint, just an observation. I don’t think this hotel is the best fit for young families.
The resort itself is beautiful, though the beach is quite small so gets very busy very quick. There are hundreds of bars/restaurants/shops so you have plenty to choose from, and there is a boat ‘taxi’ that docks right outside the hotel that goes to Puerto Rico and a couple of other ports along the south west coast every hour.
It is market day on Friday and it is massive. It goes along the pier, through the town and right up past the bus station…
Overall, this hotel is definitely one of the best, most relaxing, and peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. I’m sure we’ll definitely come back!
Hotel Livvo… 5 stars all day long."
