Sunprime Atlantic View

"Sept 25th. Just coming to the end of a wonderful 11 day stay at the Sun Prime Atlantic view. We had a 4th floor apartment / studio over looking the pool area which we booked as self catering room 424. The room was very clean, although a little tired in places. Maid service was daily and really efficient can’t fault her dedication. The pros far out way the cons with this hotel. Pros. Very clean spot less everywhere even around the pool area. Food we dined on the premises a few times during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they always had something for everyone and had speciality nights from various countries Canaria, Asian , South American etc’. Bar staff really good and always attentive with a great memory for faces. They knew our drinks nearly every night and they’re reasonably priced in comparison to other bars in the area. There is entertainment on 5 times a week some good some awful. Pool areas x 3 marshalled regularly by a life guard as this is an adult only hotel there was a lot of elderly residents using the pools. Always more than enough sun beds available, finding one was never a problem. Although some people like to get up really early to book there spot with the towel, only to find the towel removed if they reserved it before 9am and walked away. There’s a clear notice attached to every brolly. Now the cons. There clearly isn’t enough tables to go with the sun beds and if you don’t place something on it, when you come back from the pool you’ll find it gone 🤷🏻‍♂️ Air con in our room was poor as it seems to be in most areas very poor flow. Amenities in the apartment are poor for self catering especially if there was a family of 4. We had a 2 ring hot plate, Kettle, Fridge, Coffee maker and a built in Microwave with a grill. No operating instructions for it so I had to Google the do’s and don’ts The kettle had to be replaced as it wouldn’t work on our first night. The microwave was poor and we had to get it repaired as it kept shutting down while trying to cook a simple jacket potato. The next day we tried to toast some bread in it, again Google came in handy to find out how we set the grill up. But alas it blew the electrics twice in the apartment so we gave up. There is no courtesy room available when checking out and you must vacate the room by 12 pm. We asked if we could keep the room on as our pick up was after 6pm. We were told that in order to keep the room until around 5pm would cost €65. We asked was there any other way we would be able to get washed and showered before our pick up and we were told to book the Spa to use there toilet / shower room for € 8 each which we did. Although no one was in attendance when we got there, their was just 3 baskets on the counter with other peoples room numbers on clean towels and a hair drier if required. This hotel has regular clientele as we found out and personally I and my Wife would come back, there are regular taxis parked outside and a ride to Player del Ingles is around €6. There’s also a free bus to the town which runs 3 - 4 times day, there and back. All in all a really relaxing hotel. We will hopefully will be back sometime soon. 🤞"

"Great hotel, amazing staff. Very clean, great food and drinks. Great pool and facilities. All the staff are friendly , very helpful and go the extra mile to ensure you have the best stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we ever visit Gran Canaria in the future."
