"Stayed here in September after feeling another place - axel beach is pretty nice it’s friendly and the rooms are nice and comfortable. My one grip is the nice Bali beds they have as their picture on hotels.com and most of the cushioned beds you have to pay to use - which I think is a bit much, they sell day passes too so it can get very busy on weekends - fine to charge external people to use them but not guests."

"I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years, but unfortunately this will be my last visit. This time wasn’t a pleasant experience. Almost everything in your room you have to pay extra for, apart from the toilet roll — and I’m surprised they don’t charge for that too! My bed was so hard it was like sleeping on a park bench. There was also a very loose electrical socket that wasn’t fixed properly to the wall. I found this worrying as I feel this could be a safety risk and should have been fixed straight away. The sunbeds around the pool were very limited, so I didn’t even get the chance to use the pool. The double sunbeds have now been moved around the pool and you have to pay extra for them, which I think is terrible. I do want to say that the cleaners work very hard and are always very friendly. There was also paint peeling from the ceiling. The hotel is very dated and hasn’t changed much in the past 10 years. You’d think with all the money the hotel makes from the sunbeds and the extra things they sell in the rooms, they could afford to spend some money on repairs and tidying the place up. Sadly, after 10 years, I won’t be coming back. Anyone staying here — good luck!"

"We had another great stay at AxelBeach Maspalomas. The hotel combines spacious apartments, a great pool area, a central location and, above all, an amazing team. The overall concept is very well balanced: during the day, you can relax by the pool, while on weekends the DJ and pool parties create a livelier atmosphere. In the evening, the resort becomes quiet again. Above all, we would like to highlight the amazing and very welcoming staff. 🏨Hotel & Location AxelBeach is a combination of a hotel and an apartment complex and is very centrally located. The location is excellent: Yumbo Centre is only about a 5-minute walk away, supermarkets, bus stops, car rental and other services are all within easy walking distance. Scooters and bicycles can also be rented directly at the groundfloor of the hotel. The taxi between the airport and the hotel costs about €50.Rooms are available with city, garden or pool views. 🛏️ Rooms The apartments are very spacious and have a separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. The living room also includes a fully equipped kitchenette. A hairdryer, TV, toaster and capsule coffee machine are provided, as well as a well-stocked minibar. The air conditioning works very well and keeps the apartment pleasantly cool even when it is very hot outside. 🌴 Pool & Sky Bar The pool area is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. It is spacious, well maintained and, above all, very relaxing. There are plenty of sun loungers and Bali beds, so fortunately there is no need for the typical early-morning “Mallorca-style” towel reservation. 😉 A Bali bed costs €30 for the day, including towels and two drinks. For €50, a meal per person is also included. Around the pool, there is a small garden with palm trees as well as a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Every Friday and Saturday, a DJ plays by the pool, creating a great atmosphere for the pool and barbecue parties. We especially like the balance: on regular days, relaxing lounge music is played, while the DJ days offer a much more lively party atmosphere. The Sky Bar has an extensive selection of drinks and food, and we found the prices fair. 🏋️ Facilities & Cleanliness The entire resort is very well maintained. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the housekeeping staff do an amazing job! The gym is well equipped and can be used daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Massages are also available to book. ❤️ The Staff Make the Difference One of the biggest strengths of AxelBeach is definitely the staff. You never feel like just another guest – you genuinely feel welcome. Alex, Carmen and Pancho do an amazing job at reception and are always there to help with any questions or requests. Rayco, Camelo, Luis and Javier also do a fantastic job at the Sky Bar and during breakfast. They are friendly, attentive and always make guests feel welcome. Kevin is a very present and approachable manager. He regularly interacts with guests and actively checks that everything is going well. ⭐ Conclusion For us, AxelBeach Maspalomas offers a great combination: you can relax and unwind, but you can also enjoy a good party. Overall, a very well-balanced concept – we will definitely be back ... and this than years!"
