"We stayed at this hotel as a large family group ranging in age from 23 to 90 on an all-inclusive package, and we had a fantastic time overall.
Check-in was quick and easy, and the reception staff were extremely helpful and informative throughout our stay. The pool areas were lovely, with plenty of sun loungers available around both pools. Pool towels were available to rent for €20.
The food was very good, with a wide variety of options available each evening. Two members of our group are vegetarian, and there were plenty of choices for them, including a dedicated vegetarian section in the buffet. The menu could be a little repetitive at times, but this wasn’t a problem for us. We also had a family member with a severe nut allergy, and the hotel handled this brilliantly. The head chef personally provided recommendations and guidance, which was greatly appreciated. There was also a second café/restaurant available for all-inclusive guests, serving items such as croissants, hash browns, pizza, and other snacks throughout the day.
Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and cleaned daily. The beds were particularly comfortable. The balcony looked out into the smaller pool and we regularly sat on the balcony and watched the sun set which was nice. The hotel itself is large and offers plenty of activities and facilities, meaning you could easily spend your entire holiday on-site if you wished.
The entertainment team worked hard throughout the day, organising activities such as bingo and darts around the pool. Evening entertainment was also available, including children’s shows on the main stage. Our group preferred relaxing in the reception area, where live singers and musicians performed most evenings, which created a lovely atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great during our stay, but the hotel went above and beyond to adapt activities and facilities to ensure guests still had plenty to enjoy. This effort was highly noticeable and very much appreciated by our group.
The beach is only around a 10-minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby if you want to explore outside the hotel. We stayed in the block next to the smaller pool and found it very quiet, with no issues regarding noise at night despite some previous reviews mentioning this.
During our stay, the local carnival was taking place, which was fantastic. The hotel arranged for carnival dancers and bands to perform on-site, which was a real highlight. However, it is worth noting that roads around the hotel were closed on carnival day, and many guests appeared unaware of this, causing difficulties for some people trying to leave for flights and transfers.
If I were to suggest a few areas for improvement, the pool bar was closed during the first few days of our stay. This wasn’t a major issue for us, but I did overhear several guests expressing disappointment as it had been advertised as open daily.
Another point worth mentioning is the large number of cats around the hotel. We probably saw around 20 different cats during our stay, including inside some of the hotel facilities. One member of our group is allergic to cats, so this wasn’t ideal. We saw cats entering the smaller restaurant, sitting on tables and chairs, and eating leftover food from tables. They were also frequently around the pool areas. This is something future guests may wish to be aware of, as we hadn’t seen it mentioned in previous reviews.
We had four rooms booked, and one of our elderly family members was initially allocated a room on the opposite side of the resort. This meant approximately a 15-minute walk to the restaurant and main facilities. Thankfully, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and quickly arranged a room closer to the rest of our group, which was greatly appreciated. As the hotel is very large, guests with mobility issues may wish to request accommodation close to the main facilities when booking, as it may be more difficult to relocate during peak season.
I would also highly recommend renting a car, as we did. It made exploring the island and surrounding areas much easier and added a lot to our holiday experience.
It is also worth mentioning that this hotel isn’t completely perfect, and some areas are beginning to look a little dated. While everything was clean, well-maintained, and fully functional, certain parts of the hotel could benefit from some refurbishment or modernisation. This certainly didn’t affect our enjoyment of the holiday, but guests expecting a more modern or luxury feel may notice that some areas are showing their age and quality.
Overall, the food, staff, facilities, and entertainment were excellent, and the hotel made our stay extremely enjoyable. We would definitely return and would happily recommend it to others."
