"This hotel is about less than 10 minutes drive from Fuerterventura airport; so is a very convenient place for anyone not wanting too much transfer distance upon arrival. It's not a beachfront hotel, but there is a shuttle bus daily that takes guests to various beaches or stops, which are not very far. The first beach stop was Atlantico, where there is a shopping mall, and also lots of beachfront behind it. This particular beach area can vary from day to day; some days it was great for swimming / snorkelling, other days it could be windy, and the water choppy, and not inviting. As visitors to Fuerteventura will discover, it can get quite windy there sometimes, which can make a big difference to days out at the beach.
Anyone not wanting to visit the beach, can chill by the hotel pool. There is a main pool, and also a smaller one, suitable for small children. Both pools were not heated, but in that location, the weather will make the water temperature bearable. The hotel is not one of these places where there is loud music blaring intrusively. The music and entertainment activities are quite low key, which is fine for people who don't want to feel like they are at a party. The entertainers kept the guests occupied, and in the evening, the bar area inside, was a nice place to chill while listening to singing.
Anyone wanting lots of noise and excitement may not find this resort to their taste.
Quite close to the hotel, there are areas where guests who like to stroll, can walk all the way to the sea, with the airport close by. There are many opportunities to enjoy nature, and enjoy some solitude on these walks.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Access is by old fashioned key, not the credit card type. My bathroom had a bath with a shower in it, and all the equipment in the bathroom was functional and well presented. The towels were changed three days a week, not every day. There was shower gel provided in the bath area, and two small soap bars, which had to last me the whole week. You may be advised to bring your own soap / shower gel etc.
There was plenty of storage space for clothes, although not all of it was in the bedroom. But it was nevertheless functional.
There was also a mini kitchen area, with an electric ceramic double hob, plus pots and pans, and ample crockery, cutlery and glasses. There was also an electric kettle, but no tea or coffee etc supplied. Guests who wished to cook, would have all the requred facilities, including an extractor fan. A fridge was also included in the kitchen area.
Cleaning staff did their job with the minimal disruption, and did not make there presence very well known, ie re-arranging guests stuff, like what they like to do in many resorts. Bed linen was changed once a week according to their written information. This was not a problem with me, as I kept my bed clean. Some guests may have a problem with this.
There was a nice balcony which overlooked the pool area, and in the morning, a lovely bird chorus could be enjoyed.
The TV in the room had many Spanish stations, as well as digital channels from various countries, including UK.
The lounge area had a sofa where guest can relax in front of the TV, or just chill / fall asleep if so inclined!
The bedroom was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains ensured a good rest. There was no loud noise or music going on after hours, like at some places.
I went in April where the weather didn't require heating or cooling of the rooms. This hotel doesn't have air conditioning in the rooms, and I imagine it can get hot in the summer, although the wind may help to cool the rooms, if the windows are open. I didn't experience any mosquitoes on my trip. Interestingly, fans can be rented for 15 Euros per week, or electic heaters for 20 Euros per week. In addition, an iron and board can be rented for 15 Euros per week. With a 10 Euro deposit for any items needing to be hired. Those facilites are usually standard at many hotels.
A complimentary bottle of Spanish red wine was in the room upon arrival, which was a nice gesture, even on an all inclusive trip.
The bar staff were accommodating, and pleasant, likewise the staff in the restaurant. The food was fairly varied, although guests may find the same dished being seen, if staying there more than a few days. But it was satisfying, and plenteous.
The Wi-Fi did not work at any time during my stay. When I enquired about it early in my week's stay, I was told that they had called someone out to attend to it, but there didn't seem to be any indication that it would be fixed imminently. As I was covered with roaming from the UK, this didn't impact me greatly - apart from the network signal being very poor at times. But this could have been a problem for guests who were depending on having Wi-Fi.
The gym was functional, although there was no treadmill. Guests wanting to use the gym need to get the key from the hotel reception. There didn't seem to be a big demand for it, and I used it briefly on one day only.
Overall, this resort is a quiet place where people who want to relax can chill. Holidaymakers who don't want to wind down fully, may find the pace too slow, but it was ideal for my desire to have a quiet break."
