Ohtels Villa Dorada

"The hotel is Excellent. The food is delicious and the cleanliness of the room and all over the hotel is absolutely great. There are an extreme number of staff that have bad attitude or either extremely rude. There are two people that are really nice, all in the Restraunt, shoutout to Santa and Rachel! They were really nice and nicer than the others. Room is great too, and the bar was great too. Had a large selection of drinks and cocktails. There is bingo every night, which is really fun, and arcade too,p. This hotel is great!"

"Just got back from a week iat this hotel, we stayed here 42yrs ago it was a sentimental holiday, we have been married 40yrs, it was known as Venecia Park Hotel back then, not a lot has changed regarding the hotel itself, we arrived off a early flight from Manchester about 11am only to be told the room wasn't ready, surely if we are getting in early, the room should be ready! Which meant we had to walk around until the was ready approx 1pm, the room we had was overlooking the street, a bit noisy but didn't bother us that much, the lock on the balcony door wouldn't lock but we were safe enough as we were on the 4th floor, the flooring was in a bad state close to the wall near the bathroom as if there had been a leak, the food was repetitive and cold most of the time, the common areas were all clean and tidy. We never complained as we were only there for a week. In all had good week, weather was a bit iffy, but that is to be expected at this time of year IF we were to go back, we woul go a bit earlier in the season and try a different hotel."

"We stayed at the hotel villa dorada for 4 nights, as a romantic getaway. I couldn't have wanted to get away from this hotel as much as I did. The hotels rating is 3 stars, but the experience we had was far from 3 stars, more like -3 stars! No entertainment at night, bingo on for 1 night for about an hour and on Halloween, there was a haunted room called Sophie's house that didn't look any good either. The food was inedible,cold, and tasteless and was repetitive every day, eg, rice,pasta, chips, and pizza. The deserts were ok, but not fantastic. Some of the bar staff were rude and ignorant, texting and talking to each other, rather than paying attention to the guests. The restaurant staff were ignorant, again texting instead of greeting guests at the door. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were the housekeeping team so cannot fault them. The pool has a disabled chair to enter the pool, but is in the deep end, so not helpful to disabled guests that struggle to swim even with help, and not sign posted to inform about the chair lift next to the pool. The lifeguard was almost never at his station, so if anyone did get into trouble at the pool, he wouldn't have a clue. The indoor pool, also had no disabled access, just some rickety ladders, into a deep pool, that you can barely see the bottom of. The jacuzzi was very slippery and again no easy access into it for guests with additional needs. The gym, was very lacklustre, half of the equipment was broken or faulty, no water stations, and no ventilation. There are ants everywhere in this hotel, even crawling on the arcade games, so unable to put down drinks to play. The beds are very uncomfortable and don't feel safe, the covers are not big enough for 2 people to get under, and the walls are that paper thin, you could hear a pin drop. You could hear talking, arguing and shouting from the room 3 doors down, and people running up and down the hallways late at night, even though you have a do not disturb sign on the door. The floors around the pools are so dirty, you can feel the grit and dirt under foot. The sun loungers are filthy, so much so that you don't even want to sit on them. All in all, this is the worst hotel and holiday that we have ever had, and will certainly not be returning. My recommendation is to AVOID THIS HOTEL at all costs and spend your hard earned cash elsewhere."
