Golden Donaire Beach Hotel

"Definitely not my vibe. The bars which there is about 5 have no entertainment, unattractive and generally poor. We stayed in the Estival Sui. The food was always cold resorting us to warm it up in microwave before being eaten. They gave a good measure of named spirits if you weren't AI. The entertainment was dire. Went into Salou. Never again. It was like sunny Blackpool. If you have children maybe not a bad shout but definitely not for couples . The restaurants in La Pineda looked like they had been thrown together. Never again."

"This is a nice beach, the water is shallow for quite a long way out which is perfect for younger people. The water was also very clean and the seabed was visible when more than waist deep, apart from the one day that there was some rain. As our hotel was nearby we only used the bit by the southern end, we didn't pay for beds or loungers because we had beach towels and a parasol. There was a small cocktail bar (I didn't use it) also there are long wooden paths to get from the roadside to nearer the sea edge. Unfortunately the road running along the beach was being rebuilt, so looked untidy however it wasn't an inconvenience."

"Booked this through a travel agent. Thought it looked like a lovely place to take my four children. We arrived gent at the desk seemed OK. From the following day. We went for breakfast. What a shambles. Very very busy. I also found that the Spanish residents were catered for in a much politer manner. Instantly felt unwelcome. The waiters don't smile and look fed up. The pool is an OK size but not big enough. People spend all day by the pool and put there towels on and chip off for hours on end. Leaving you with no where to sit with your children. The entertainment is absolutely awful. All in Spanish. Including evening and around the pool. There's nothing going on here. Nothing displayed for excursions, no one likes to smile. The staff are just plain rude and unwelcoming from the moment you arrive here. Especially if you aren't a local resident. The rooms are very basic. With air con that doesn't work. So we had to sleep with the balcony door open all night. My husband went to ask at night if we could purchase some water and the bar staff got annoyed and said only for all inclusive. Basic water wasn't even available for children or adults who aren't all inclusive which is dreadful. I would not return at all. We spent most of our days at the beach or out of this hotel. This hotel definitely doesn't cater to tourist. For sure a hotel for local residents. They seem to surely favour. Spending over 2000 to visit this place was a waste of money!"
